My favourite squad mates are EDI (sexy AI) & Javick (cool Jamaican accent).

My favourite weapon is the Plasma Rifle because it doesn't need any ammo and it can turn any reaper or cerebus enemy into goo. tongue.gif

Its because of people like you, EA charges more for extra content. Well, I only paid less than one third of the price to get the content same as your overpriced collector's edition. Not mentioning the poor support on PS3 where the frame rate is as worse as Skyrim on launch.
Btw, 32 hours in single player, 8 hours in multiplayer. Time to watch all spoilers for my perfect 2nd run through.  rclxm9.gif

hello game sharer & pirate user. it's because people like you EA has to charge more money because you are so damn proud of being the best cheapskate in the world!!!

I just downloaded the iOS application, Mass Effect 3 Datapad.

That app, links to your origin EA account. So if you're playing PS3 and your PSN iD is linked to EA Origins account, then they have a small minigame, where you assign fleet to random missions, and after a number of minutes/hours, you complete mission and increase your war readiness (think facebook apps).

The main important part, it links to your ME3 game. So you can increase your galactic readiness by both the Multiplayer and this iOS application at the same time.

Cheers!

Massive spoilers indeed.

But I personally liked one of the joke exchanges between Garrus and Joker on the Normandy bridge. That was very... in character and fleshed out. You can see two buddies talking to each other as in reallife. smile.gif

If Javik is in your party, Wrex will ask Shepard about his new squad mate in the shuttle on the way down to Sur'Kesh & he will say something funny about Shepard's crew on board the Normandy. biggrin.gif

That sucks really.

After this, my support for bioware will go down the drain.

Bioware is now part of EA. What do you expect?

If you don't like the ending, they will release a special DLC ending to milk more money out of you. tongue.gif

There you go. I knew EA would make Bioware release a "True" ending DLC just to milk more money out of gamers.

Depends on point of view. If the "Truth" was planned all along, then Hudson statement also true. He didn't change any new ending. The ending was just 'left out'.

It should be free for the "Truth" part. If they charge, public will go uproar!

Added on March 16, 2012, 12:15 pmSo a good MP party would be,

Salarian Engineer, Asari Adapt, Human Soldier and.>>> ?

Free? this is EA we are talking about. They will sure charge money for it.

EA also knows what bad press would mean for them. Chargable DLC for ending? That would make news for sure! You think they can stand the general US public in uproar?
*
But they cut out the true ending on purpose. If not to make more money out of it, then what?

I start ME3 fresh without import from ME2. I found out that I didn't get to see most of the ME2 characters.

Sigh, looks like I need to replay ME2 to get the good paragon points to be imported to ME3 to see MOrdin survives, Jack, etc. And if bioware is releasing a DLC to fix the ending, it means i need to play MP too in ME3...

bye bye my 100 hours....
*
why you need to play MP to see ending?

I dont think you need to play MP to get ending, but in this case, maybe just to level galactic readiness to highest level to max a save gane
*
So if you don't play MP, your galactic readiness will always be stuck at 50%?

Yup. Or the ipad application. Both the ipad app and MP is the way to raise Galactic readiness.

So what is the reason for raising galactic readiness? To get a better ending?

But if the "Truth" DLC comes to light, maybe got effect?

I found out about GR in bioware forums:

QUOTE
Your ending(s) are determined by your "Effective Military Strength" (let's call it EMS for now) bar. Focus on that bar - that is your indicator of how well you will do in the end-game.

You can maximize your EMS just by collecting War Assets in the single-player game. There is a certain threshhold of these you would need to exceed (I can't get too specific) but I can tell you there are MORE than the required amount that can be gathered in the single-player campaign.

"Galactic Readiness" is a modifier you can improve by playing multiplayer. That is to say, if you play a lot of multiplayer, you will need less War Assets from single-player to fill up your EMS bar (ie it will balance out the requirements to account for you playing in both modes).  Single-player game play does not impact that bar.

EMS = success. EMS can be maximized via collecting war assets alone, even if your Galactic Readiness is 50%.

The basic idea is that if you don't play MP, Galactic Rediness stays at 50% period, and you have to do side missions to get the bar. As you do more side missions, it fills and turns green. If you do play MP, then Galactic Readiness will rise, and you have to do less side missions to get the same effect. So anyone who plays MP a lot can skip side missions. tongue.gif

Not all western players are like that. Unforturnately for you, your group has some 10 year old COD brats in it. tongue.gif

Doesn't matter to me. With current ending, I'm not buying any ME4. They can pull the same bullshit ending again.

The leaked ending makes a lot more sense. And they should have kept it. Who the f*** leaked the original ending should be shot. I've seen companies change their ending / product simply because some smart aleck decides to leak the product / ending ahead.
*
I agree with you on this. If they catch that guy who leaked the original ending, they should really break every bone in his body and then shoot him.

I don't think that is a forgone conclusion.

They are trying to remedy a situation due to the uproar from fans. Charging for this content will only be counterproductive and undermine any goodwill they are trying to build by agreeing to come up with the content in the first place...
*
I also hope it will be free. But who knows what EA will do...

To Mass Effect 3 players, from Dr. Ray Muzyka, co-founder of BioWare:

QUOTE
As co-founder and GM of BioWare, I’m very proud of the ME3 team; I personally believe Mass Effect 3 is the best work we’ve yet created. So, it’s incredibly painful to receive feedback from our core fans that the game’s endings were not up to their expectations. Our first instinct is to defend our work and point to the high ratings offered by critics – but out of respect to our fans, we need to accept the criticism and feedback with humility.

I believe passionately that games are an art form, and that the power of our medium flows from our audience, who are deeply involved in how the story unfolds, and who have the uncontested right to provide constructive criticism. At the same time, I also believe in and support the artistic choices made by the development team.  The team and I have been thinking hard about how to best address the comments on ME3’s endings from players, while still maintaining the artistic integrity of the game.

Mass Effect 3 concludes a trilogy with so much player control and ownership of the story that it was hard for us to predict the range of emotions players would feel when they finished playing through it.  The journey you undertake in Mass Effect provokes an intense range of highly personal emotions in the player; even so, the passionate reaction of some of our most loyal players to the current endings in Mass Effect 3 is something that has genuinely surprised us. This is an issue we care about deeply, and we will respond to it in a fair and timely way. We’re already working hard to do that.

To that end, since the game launched, the team has been poring over everything they can find about reactions to the game – industry press, forums, Facebook, and Twitter, just to name a few. The Mass Effect team, like other teams across the BioWare Label within EA, consists of passionate people who work hard for the love of creating experiences that excite and delight our fans.  I’m honored to work with them because they have the courage and strength to respond to constructive feedback.

Building on their research, Exec Producer Casey Hudson and the team are hard at work on a number of game content initiatives that will help answer the questions, providing more clarity for those seeking further closure to their journey. You’ll hear more on this in April.  We’re working hard to maintain the right balance between the artistic integrity of the original story while addressing the fan feedback we’ve received.  This is in addition to our existing plan to continue providing new Mass Effect content and new full games, so rest assured that your journey in the Mass Effect universe can, and will, continue.

The reaction to the release of Mass Effect 3 has been unprecedented. On one hand, some of our loyal fans are passionately expressing their displeasure about how their game concluded; we care about this feedback, and we’re planning to directly address it. However, most folks appear to agree that the game as a whole is exceptional, with more than 75 critics giving it a perfect review score and a review average in the mid-90s. Net, I’m proud of the team, but we can and must always strive to do better.

Some of the criticism that has been delivered in the heat of passion by our most ardent fans, even if founded on valid principles, such as seeking more clarity to questions or looking for more closure, for example – has unfortunately become destructive rather than constructive. We listen and will respond to constructive criticism, but much as we will not tolerate individual attacks on our team members, we will not support or respond to destructive commentary.

If you are a Mass Effect fan and have input for the team – we respect your opinion and want to hear it. We’re committed to address your constructive feedback as best we can. In return, I’d ask that you help us do that by supporting what I truly believe is the best game BioWare has yet crafted. I urge you to do your own research: play the game, finish it and tell us what you think. Tell your friends if you feel it’s a good game as a whole. Trust that we are doing our damndest, as always, to address your feedback.  As artists, we care about our fans deeply and we appreciate your support.

Thank you for your feedback – we are listening.

Ray

Yup. It's part of the plan all along? I think in the end they responded mainly to address the destructive comments? Like going to federal law.. wtf... US players can do that?

Yes, they can actually complain to the Federal Goverment in the US. laugh.gif
