The most valid reason of Chinese parents against it is that they somehow loss a child.

Their grandchild no longer bear the same surname.

although need to change name, they usually retain the family name..
some of them still pass the family name to the son/daughter

i think no parents can accept..haha

yeah, its common perception for malaysian muslim to have arabic-based name,
but in china they dont use arabic based name very much..

i wonder how indonesian chinese cope by cant having chinese name..

in Msia its compulsory to convert if you want to marry muslim..
in non-muslim country i dont think its compulsory..
zidane is muslim but her wife isnt,
for non-practitioner convert matter is no big deal..

why? in china so many muslim, many of them with Ma surname.

anyway, chinese new year is not a religion event, why got problem?
