Hero worship is cool and what Linus does is good as he does help in educating his audience. But he also tends to gloss over the technical details in order to deliver to a mainstream-ish audience. Just saying.

Is the site active?

Never mind, seems they're operating from facebook for the time being.

The best thing about newegg are the offers that they have which are numerous during the month. Some offers cannot be matched by the dealers/distributors locally.

Always wanted newegg locally and now we have it, as long as the offer is good and the shipping doesn't contribute to exceed the total price then it's a good thing. Warranty is something, but there are a few things I wouldn't worry about too much.

but bad think is that they need to receive enough bookings before they can order from newegg. That will really slow down the process

Probably just a temporary thing because of the shipping charges, etc.

Hopefully they can get some items stocked in their warehouse, or work with the local distributors to get something done.
