Unlimited Blade Works has 2 endings. One of them is Saber stay and lives together with Rin and Shirou for the rest of the time (ahem), Another one is real ending where Rin answered the call of Magus Association in London and drag Shirou along as an "apprentice" (some apprentice he is since he defeated King of Heroes in single hand to hand combat!).

As a lover/friend/apprentice. Among all 3, Rin is the most realistic and fun girl to be with. In the story Shirou always have hots for Sakura but in UBW, Rin managed to get into his heart.

Then you guys should read the manga, the story seems to go into UBW path.

From what I remembered, he mostly will end with Rin most of the time. Even if in teh first storyline, he'd still end up with Rin after Saber went back. IMO Rin is the real heroine of the Novel. It started with her narration anyways, before it went to Shirou's

In the story Shirou seems to notice Sakura's growing beauty more and more which sound suspiciously like he is taking a lot of liking of her. Rin was there and he also admired her but more like she is a Goddess which he felt untouchable until he get to know her better during the Grail War.

Rin is maybe the narrator, but Sakura seems to be original girl who captured his heart.

Worst bad has to be when Evil Sakura was gloating, forcing Shirou to watch Rin being raped in front of him which Evil Sakura found out that her sister is still a virgin.

Anyways, that's might be because Sakura had always helped Shirou in his home. Only in the last storyline was Sakura prominent. And both Rin and Sakura liked Shirou from teh start anyways.
