Welcome to Nendoroid Thread V19

Nendoroid is a chibi or super deformed (with a large head and smaller body) style figurine which are produced by Good Smile Company which are usually 10cm in height.
Their faces and body parts are movable and interchangeable, giving them a range of different expressions, postures and items to hold.

"Nendo" is Japanese for clay or plasticine.

Ahhhh IMO that saber looks old. I think her prototype was shown off quite a while ago, and it feels like they just recycled the headsculpt of the previous movable saber.

well it is the same character anyway...but...but... yeah seems like recycled head sculpt...

i think it is the same proto as last time wonfest.. maybe the super movable joint are just not too nice to see..

but its saber still wub.gif however a fate xtra saber nendo would have been nice...or the saber bride just like the new figma...huhuh..

I wish there were some other Fate Nendos other than Saber -she's the only real proper Nendo we've had so far, I think. An Archer Nendo would have me all excited, but another Saber, even if its the casualwear type, doesn't really appeal (at least not yet).

Yamada looks great, makes we want to consider getting the set and Popura and Inami as well. I guess if they release Takanashi I'll go all psycho and buy the whole group, but Nendos don't seem to like producing male characters (although unlike Figma there's at least a decent selection). I wish they could have made Popura extra short or something - the diorama isn't going to look that good with Inami, Yamada and Popura the same height.

Those are Movic's Speaker Mascot/Voice Mascot Series. I've never actually had one, but I'm under the impression that the big base they're sitting on is actually some sort of speaker with a pre-recorded voice, that you activate by pushing a button.

...I find that after PVCs and Nendoroids, I'm spoiled for good quality stuff, so trading figures (to me) are usually unbearable..@w@

Ahhh I don't think you can buy just one though, they seem to come as a set...but if you do ever get one, please post photos! tongue.gif

nichol: same here. after getting nendoroids, i cant let my myself to buy any other type of figures quality except nendoroids quality. scale figures of coz included in the high quality, as well figma.

others, specially gashapon, even if cheap i dont think i will buy it ever again. (except if it is kaito/kiyoteru-sensei) tongue.gif

For me Nendo is the biggest poison right now, followed by Figma, and now looks like Alter, which is worse than the two (although thankfully they don't release as fast) is going to be another poison. Occasionally I'll get Gashapon for things which Nendo and Figma will most likely never release. And very very occasionally I'll probably get a Soul of Chogokin for something which provides very sentimental memories.

My descending poison level. Ques Q and Griffon occasionally tempt me.

I don't actually collect figmas though, I just have a few that I really like. e.g. WRS. biggrin.gif

I like PVC scales much more than I do nendoroids, it's just that for every PVC, I could get around 2-3 nendoroids...=3=

nendo still remains the most of my collection.... followed by pvc scales from GSC and kotobukiya... probably gonna cut out pvc scales altogether (unless it really caught my eyes) due to an incoming DD... still nendo poison remains strong ^^"

..uhm, not to burst your bubble, but it's been confirmed to be animation ver. biggrin.gif

The Game didn't have a zip on the jacket on the back (both before and after the Lost All outfit), both were shorter, and the first one has pouches.. and both BRS outfits in the game came with those..rocket booster wings. Also the Rock cannon isn't the game ver (that had a blade in front, the default cannon anyway, the upgraded canons had glowy blue bits. ))

Ahhh I was dissapointed when I found out it wasn't the game ver...I'd hoped it would come with the Lost All outfit, or at least the bunny suit lmao.

Added on February 16, 2012, 10:09 pm..Also, Stella is my waifu, so yes, I'm not obsessed with her at all. Nu uh.

Today is another bad day for me. Went to Times Square just looking to pick up a Figma Nadeko, and ended up... aizzz..

Saw cute Nendo wrapped in futon (big box summore, same size box as cute Nendo with punching hair)
Saw cute Nendo playing PSP sitting on chair
Saw cute Nendo with scythe who would make a great pair with Elsie (who I bought just because of the running legs and flailing hands)
Saw cute Nendo elf from Queen's Blade who looked really nice (so many are a bit ugly but those few nice ones for some reason make me feel sorry that no one buys them)

So after a trip to the ATM went home with 4 Nendos and 1 Figma.... but... wub.gif

I think you can get something similar with the Figma Tomoe Mami coming out in March, but probably much smaller than that size.

I recall one of the Wonfest pics had both Charlottes (including the clown balloon caterpillar which comes with Nendo Tomoe Mami) displayed together. Maybe they'll come as one pack? Caterpillar Charlotte needs to be a bit bigger to justify Mami's scared face anyway! smile.gif

Yeah, they're together, but even then it's most probably too 'small' as a set.. I suspect they will be bundled with that exclusive anime magazine or something.. :/

That the one at eCurve? I was around there on Saturday - my kids were riding on the train outside, and I took a peek inside. The maids were sitting at the tables with the customers, chitchatting and looking at their iPads and smartphones and their Facebook profiles and pictures - the customers were proudly showing off their gadgets and pictures and the poor maids had to pretend to be interested in their customers' pictures. Then to my horror I saw the maids eating from the customers' tables - so you have to buy food for the waitresses as well?

Maybe I'm just totally unfamiliar with maid cafe culture! for people who are going for saturday gathering, please dont interfere with the photoshoot/videoshoot session, of course you can have your gathering in tenshi, just dont kepoh too much on the photshoot la, stalking from a far still okay i guess tongue.gif

I'd buy the DVD, which would be +- 6800 yen. Maybe a bit less with Amiami's %off. But still.. say it's 6000, that's the same as two 'normal' nendoroids! Andand I don't even know her.. and.. OH GOD MY WEAK HEART.

There have been puchi sets of the Idolm@ster before, right? Were these normal releases or exclusives? Because they seem to be hard to get, and I want to mentally prepare for what kind of releases the next two sets will probably be. xD

its been a while since last time posted here. just want to share with what i found at a toy shop in 1-stop Island, Pulau Tikus, Penang.

basically among the nendos i see are:
Mami Tomoe x3
Ryougi Shiki x4
Miku Append x1
Meiko x1
Moritaka Mashiro x1
Haqua x1
Elsie x1
Shellingford x1
Riela x2
Sanzenin Nagi x1
Strength x1
Hetare Sakura x2
Hetare Saber x1

and other Queen's Blade nendos which i cannot really recalled. Most of the nendos from what i see is in good condition (although i cannot really determined if its really ori or not), only the back of the boxes which color already faded due to exposure to sunlight.

i eyeing on both Hetare Saber and Hetare Sakura, but i need to know if both are bootlegs or not. is there bootlegs for them? or should i wait for re-sale by gsc? (doubt it gonna happen though)

A lot of those Queen's Blade figures are quite grotesque, actually, although the heads are cute. I find those which don't bare that much flesh are actually quite well done, though. Tomoe oozes attitude with her paper charm (GSC please make a Yura Keikain someday), Nyx is just cute and adorable, while Alleyne, despite wearing a bikini top, manages to seem decently clothed thanks to the cape and huge hat which draws your attention (and she has those adorable "Caster" elf ears). I got all three when I went on a Queen's Blade love buying spree recently, but couldn't bring myself to buy any of the others, though (Leina has a really cute face, but that body really turns me off). These three I love to death, but having not watched the anime or played the game Airi doesn't quite appeal to me as the outfit is nothing really special compared to some of the other Nendos out there.

Tomoe, Alleyene and Nyx trying to convince you to buy them!! smile.gif

I find the Puella Magi look better under the Figma design (although that didn't stop me from buying Nendo Mami/Homura and pre-ordering Sayaka. Madoka and Kyoko don't really look that good to me, compared to their Figma incarnations - there's a QB in the Figma as well, but if you don't collect Figmas then you can't get QB, of course. I personally really dislike QB, but I can understand wanting him as part of the set). Maybe because the memories of the series aren't that cute, and more sad.. in fact I can't remember any funny scene off-hand which made me laugh (other than Homura's assault on the trash can, and even that just made me smile sympathetically) - so maybe because of that the cutesy Nendo treatment isn't as great as it could be compared with other anime characters which remind me of happy things. They're not bad Nendos by any means, of course - they're all very well done (Mami in particular looks GREAT, and Sayaka looks like she's going to be just as nice), but if I had to choose I wouldn't place them on the top of my must-buy list.

Haruhi is just adorable - I'd pick her!

I didn't actually watch Haruhi, and her smiling face..well, I have a lot of smiling faces so I can skip that one easily.

Just came back from BB area (Sg Wang, Lowyat, BTS). Fantasy toys in Lowyat do stock lots of fake nendos doh.gif Can see bootlegged Nendo Snow Miku 2011 (movable joint one) and even Sakura Miku rclxub.gif Price ranged from RM 50-55

Non of the PVC or Nendoroid there are Authentic. n Most of the comic shop sell bootleg product. I kena tipu once...@ animetech. n Even the Comicon last year @ KLCC also got booth selling bootleg product.~~ >_< ....Bootleg is everywhere.~ only way to get authentic product is tru online or xl-shop. Gamers Arena in Times Square, just beside XL Shop, also sells original Nendos, Figmas and PVCs - slightly cheaper than XL-Shop too!

If you want to see lots of bootleg Nendos, Figmas and PVCs, go to the bookstore on the LG floor of Sungei Wang (at the foot of the escalator which leads all the way up to the IT centre on the 4th floor - they've got some nice bootleg PVCs on display. Then on the 4th floor (the IT floor with the post office) just next to Toy Garden there's this big comic /dvd shop (in the centre of the hallway, just like Toy Garden) - so many bootleg Nendos there. I saw bootleg Snow Miku Playtime edition .. poor thing had such a dark and sticky face!!

They ONLY sell bootleg nendo..and more expensive than other bootleg sellers somore!

Eg; Original cost around 150, normal bootleg resellers around 40-60, AnimeTech bootleg is 70-90... especially the one at Ipoh Parade,really such a waste for those who paid 'premium' price for bootleg at AnimeTech..

I hate bootleg~! wasted rm100++ for a cheap quality n easily broken figure. I still remember that shop, is @ LG floor of the Curve. i never thought tat high class place got selling bootleg figure, somemore the figure is broken inside~!! Damn it~!!

Even Speedy videos sell bootleg Nendos, so basically any media shop in any shopping centre can sell bootleg. Nothing really wrong with bootleg as long as you don't pretend they're original - Speedy bootlegs are RM40.

Ya, Gamers Arena is a bit cheaper (not by much, RM5 -RM10 or so) but the variety they have is really limited. Depends on what you want - for example they have stock for Figma Nadeko Sengoku but XL shop still don't have extra for those who didn't pre-order. They also have a lot of Figma Madoka and Homura, while XL-Shop Madokas seem to have sold out (with Homura not far behind). However, they only have about a dozen varieties of Figmas (and same with Nendos) there, compared with XL-Shop having 20-30 types displayed.

i just bought one recently, and quite frankly i feel the quality isn't par with my other nendoroids like madoka magica series, yozora and brs...

is there a way to know whether its a bootleg version or authentic?

I'm trying to collect^^not easy,especially with normal miku and kaito..that's why now I just go along with vocaloid's cheerful versions ni...if you're looking for normal meiko,you can check out shin's siggy^^

to me, i find photo number 8 and 9 quite different than all my other nendoroids...

cause usually for number 8, they will have some skin color on the inner part of the collar, and for number 9, there should be some joints instead of one piece... maybe hatsune miku is different since its an old model (cheerful is just hatsune miku with additional accessories)

the facial expression looks similar to authentic tho... and some of the details mentioned in good smile is also present, like pic 7 and pic 10

Personally, I think it's authentic. I don't think the fakes would include the postcard and the JP thank you note?

I don't really understand what you mean about the skin color on the inner part of the colar, but comparing my own Cheerful Miku to yours, they look pretty much identical. smile.gif

yeah i've been thinking that too.. but mana tau the fakes really try to make it look original, so they include the postcard >"<

what i meant by the collar was something like user posted image

i just randomly checked one of my nendoroid, and yozora n homura doesn't seem to have it either... maybe not all of them have this feature >"<

but i remember most of them having multiple joints in the back side of the head like this user posted image

thats what got me worried

alot of my nendoroids have such joints... i think this is the first time i see a 1 piece connector on miku...

but since some of u said its likely authentic, i can feel at ease now tongue.gif
