Thankfully apart from Yamada and Kogoro, the rest aren't really calling out to me just yet! Together with the Figmas and PVCs, though.. still going to die.......

I wish there were some other Fate Nendos other than Saber -she's the only real proper Nendo we've had so far, I think. An Archer Nendo would have me all excited, but another Saber, even if its the casualwear type, doesn't really appeal (at least not yet).

Yamada looks great, makes we want to consider getting the set and Popura and Inami as well. I guess if they release Takanashi I'll go all psycho and buy the whole group, but Nendos don't seem to like producing male characters (although unlike Figma there's at least a decent selection). I wish they could have made Popura extra short or something - the diorama isn't going to look that good with Inami, Yamada and Popura the same height.

What are those K-On! figures at the end? They don't look like Petit quality.. Gashapon figures?

Ooh, how cute! The concept, that is.. the figure quality doesn't look that accurate, at least not compared to the Nendos! Maybe buy one to put on the desk or something..

Who is that next to Kogoro-chan? The third Angeloid girl (after Ikaros and Nymph) from Sora No Otoshimono? Sorry, can't remember her name at all!

For me Nendo is the biggest poison right now, followed by Figma, and now looks like Alter, which is worse than the two (although thankfully they don't release as fast) is going to be another poison. Occasionally I'll get Gashapon for things which Nendo and Figma will most likely never release. And very very occasionally I'll probably get a Soul of Chogokin for something which provides very sentimental memories.

Is that the MMORPG thing which they have planned?

ClariS? That's the singer for Puella Magi's opening, isn't it? Very nice voice!

Kurisu is just so cool, and Mayuri is so wonderfully cheerful as usual. The trailer makes me really want a Rin Nendo, though...

Today is another bad day for me. Went to Times Square just looking to pick up a Figma Nadeko, and ended up... aizzz..

Saw cute Nendo wrapped in futon (big box summore, same size box as cute Nendo with punching hair)
Saw cute Nendo playing PSP sitting on chair
Saw cute Nendo with scythe who would make a great pair with Elsie (who I bought just because of the running legs and flailing hands)
Saw cute Nendo elf from Queen's Blade who looked really nice (so many are a bit ugly but those few nice ones for some reason make me feel sorry that no one buys them)

So after a trip to the ATM went home with 4 Nendos and 1 Figma.... but...

I think you can get something similar with the Figma Tomoe Mami coming out in March, but probably much smaller than that size.

I recall one of the Wonfest pics had both Charlottes (including the clown balloon caterpillar which comes with Nendo Tomoe Mami) displayed together. Maybe they'll come as one pack? Caterpillar Charlotte needs to be a bit bigger to justify Mami's scared face anyway!

That the one at eCurve? I was around there on Saturday - my kids were riding on the train outside, and I took a peek inside. The maids were sitting at the tables with the customers, chitchatting and looking at their iPads and smartphones and their Facebook profiles and pictures - the customers were proudly showing off their gadgets and pictures and the poor maids had to pretend to be interested in their customers' pictures. Then to my horror I saw the maids eating from the customers' tables - so you have to buy food for the waitresses as well?

Maybe I'm just totally unfamiliar with maid cafe culture! I don't recall Feyris in Steins;Gate or the waitresses in OreImo (where Kirino first met Kuroneko) ever doing this. Or maybe it just so happened that all three tables were occupied by friends of the maids who here to visit and support.

Her main smiling face reminds me a bit of Yui Hirasawa - wonder if it'll look good on her. Yui's normal smiling face is a little bit.. high.

A lot of those Queen's Blade figures are quite grotesque, actually, although the heads are cute. I find those which don't bare that much flesh are actually quite well done, though. Tomoe oozes attitude with her paper charm (GSC please make a Yura Keikain someday), Nyx is just cute and adorable, while Alleyne, despite wearing a bikini top, manages to seem decently clothed thanks to the cape and huge hat which draws your attention (and she has those adorable "Caster" elf ears). I got all three when I went on a Queen's Blade love buying spree recently, but couldn't bring myself to buy any of the others, though (Leina has a really cute face, but that body really turns me off). These three I love to death, but having not watched the anime or played the game Airi doesn't quite appeal to me as the outfit is nothing really special compared to some of the other Nendos out there.

I find the Puella Magi look better under the Figma design (although that didn't stop me from buying Nendo Mami/Homura and pre-ordering Sayaka. Madoka and Kyoko don't really look that good to me, compared to their Figma incarnations - there's a QB in the Figma as well, but if you don't collect Figmas then you can't get QB, of course. I personally really dislike QB, but I can understand wanting him as part of the set). Maybe because the memories of the series aren't that cute, and more sad.. in fact I can't remember any funny scene off-hand which made me laugh (other than Homura's assault on the trash can, and even that just made me smile sympathetically) - so maybe because of that the cutesy Nendo treatment isn't as great as it could be compared with other anime characters which remind me of happy things. They're not bad Nendos by any means, of course - they're all very well done (Mami in particular looks GREAT, and Sayaka looks like she's going to be just as nice), but if I had to choose I wouldn't place them on the top of my must-buy list.

Haruhi is just adorable - I'd pick her!

Gamers Arena in Times Square, just beside XL Shop, also sells original Nendos, Figmas and PVCs - slightly cheaper than XL-Shop too!

If you want to see lots of bootleg Nendos, Figmas and PVCs, go to the bookstore on the LG floor of Sungei Wang (at the foot of the escalator which leads all the way up to the IT centre on the 4th floor - they've got some nice bootleg PVCs on display. Then on the 4th floor (the IT floor with the post office) just next to Toy Garden there's this big comic /dvd shop (in the centre of the hallway, just like Toy Garden) - so many bootleg Nendos there. I saw bootleg Snow Miku Playtime edition .. poor thing had such a dark and sticky face!!

Even Speedy videos sell bootleg Nendos, so basically any media shop in any shopping centre can sell bootleg. Nothing really wrong with bootleg as long as you don't pretend they're original - Speedy bootlegs are RM40.

Ya, Gamers Arena is a bit cheaper (not by much, RM5 -RM10 or so) but the variety they have is really limited. Depends on what you want - for example they have stock for Figma Nadeko Sengoku but XL shop still don't have extra for those who didn't pre-order. They also have a lot of Figma Madoka and Homura, while XL-Shop Madokas seem to have sold out (with Homura not far behind). However, they only have about a dozen varieties of Figmas (and same with Nendos) there, compared with XL-Shop having 20-30 types displayed.

Wah!!! Christina!! I want her too, but probably not as much as I want an Okabe Nendo. At least Nendo Kurisu has Mayuri for company. Poor Figma Kurisu, excellent as she is, sits alone!
