i loled so hard at this.. and on what basis you rate lukaku better than torres? through youtube compilation i presumed? even safee sali can become a world class act in a youtube compilation la.. that lukaku guy was not even proven yet. we can be optimistic on his development and that is all.

the case with torres is that the team are not ready to move from the realm of drogba. while torres is upfront, we play as if drogba there. both play differently. and since we believe drogba will play until he is 40 for chelsea, that is why people say torres positioning is awful and etc. drogba looks awesome because the team evolve around him. just sell torres if you cannot make him the focal point of the team.
*
theres chance that he probably turn out to be another Andy Carroll...but at the moment hes better than Torres...if him were given the chances when drogba gone for 1 month instead of torres im confident he'd be in the scoresheet 1-2 times arlready. we'd be gambling with torres upfront for too many matches already and its costing us our games...and probably even AVB head in the not too distant future..

Added on February 19, 2012, 5:51 pmon another note...bertrand playing pretty well covering for ashley cole....kudos to him...hope AVB promote this guy to be our 1st eleven if not oso rotation status...

I am worry for our future, we got no striker at all. NO ONE. Drogba is very old now, Lukaku isn't ready yet. Maybe Sturridge take the central role?
Depends on Drogba fitness, or I would rather start Sturridge in the middle and Kalou on the right against Napoli.

chelsea should re-buy shevchenko again
and also yuri zhirkov
those two are world class players, but chelsea destroyed their career
but now I believe AVB will do a better job than the other managers

the bolded words summarize pretty much what you want to say. yaa.. IF this and IF that..

true we are gambling with torres. but if our logic and avb's logic are correct, we should not be gambling when the cards on our hand are not strong. if avb wants to gamble with torres, he should transform the team to play into torres's strength. last few season that guys have a serious injury but still manage to get a handuful of goals for liverpool but at chelsea, he is super fit but can't find the goal. now you tell me where is the logic in this? torres got his own quality which is under utilized at chelsea. period.

and as long as avb try to act tough in front of the media but lacks the bravery to confront his own player in the locker room, we are bound to win nothing this season.

Drogba also got 45 minutes. Yet..he doesn't score...what's the difference between him and Torres?  hmm.gif

The difference between Drogba and Torres was

1. Drogba been banging goals for fun in the AFCON while Torres can't score any shite during Drogba's absence.

You should expect Drogba to be a little fatigue travelling from his hometown back to London. Why AVB did not even dare to put £18m Lukaku after the break? What a waste of money but who's to blame? whistling.gif

While our current manager were criticised by his own fans,

our former manager were doing well in Spain..... whistling.gif

that's how jose do his business in every club he go. he has a very close relationship with his players. you can see how they celebrate when they got a goal. the players are playing for him, that's important. i can't see our current crop of players are fully behind AVB at the moment...

I think it's a shame for the local fans chanting Mourinho fan. Don't say they pay expensive ticket to watch football, but when your team is in down time, you shouldn't 'boo' your own team. Instead, giving energy and radiating the confidence from the stand to the pitch is a more ideal way.
Mourinho fans are just living in fantasy, wanting jose to join our club and expect 500m from Roman to rebuild the squad. This sounds harsh, but we need to back our own manager, and the players as well.
Well, I know AVB isn't doing well, but we need to give him more time. Look at Arsenal, they crashed out. So, sack Wenger?

LOL i will say is about time those boos come in, D-D-L-D and the last was a championship team, fans deserve to voice their dissatisfaction, they deserve to tell AVB that they dont like what they are seeing, and seriously they paid those pricey ticket and the team performance was worse than a championship team, there is nothing to cheer about really.

JM or not, at the moment i am not going to support AVB blindly with the current football he is playing. Sure he still on the job, but he will need major improvement on the field to gain back those support. Those clueless football is really pain to see.

Oh yea dont rate us with ARSENAL (sorry ARSENAL fans), the past few years we have been a top 2 team, favorite to go head to head with MANU for EPL title and not fighting 4th spot. You would not want a long standing manager like MOYES and be like EVERTON. The truth is most ARSENAL fans would not mind WENGER is chop and be replace by a new manager after 7 years trophyless but their board are just happy with the way WENGER run thing so the club can keep earning 20m profit per season for the directors. Fans have no choice but "in WENGER we trust".

Completely agree with u on that one, it was shocking and a pathetic display of how NOT to support your team in times of distress. I heard it was initially started by the birm fans but then sections of the home crowd started to join in. Imagine that..both sets of supporters combining to condemn the team, utterly disgraceful. It also proves that just because u go to the Bridge every week, it doesn’t necessarily make u a ‘better’ fan.
How exactly does chanting the name of an ex-manager help the players? How does it help AVB and the dire situation? Bloody ridiculous.

I still find it funny how the JM loyalists are continually crying out for him to come ‘home’ (as if). He’s spoken frankly about the Chelsea and inter situation, where he effectively told both sets of fans to support their own coach because although they shared something great in the past and he loved both Chelsea and inter, they need to move on. Basically it translates to ‘I’m not planning on revisiting old ground in the future, so man up , deal with it and get behind the team.’

Too many Chelsea fans are spoilt by the success we’ve enjoyed under roman and they expect to win trophies every season nowadays. Arguably this precedent was set by the owner himself when he gave jose the boot and a general feeling of impatience/intolerance towards any string of bad results has spread to the fans as well. But after enduring this vicious managerial cycle countless times, surely a new way of progressing as a club has to take place and I believe this must be combined with a higher level of patience among everyone involved with Chelsea fc from the fans, through the club’s staff, board and up to the owner.
