Just one quick question. I applied for a PhD position (engineering) - part time and just got the offer letter.

Anyone have an idea if there is any form of financial assistance available ? By, Financial assistance, i mean something like tuition fees waiver or some sort. Of course, i am not expecting monthly allowance like those on GRA schemes.

I understand that doing PhD on a part time basis means you're not eligible for MyPhD.

MyBrain15/PhD is back in action !

Hi guys,

Mybrain15 for 2018 is open now. I'm in dilemma right now . I'm working in private sector since last month but before this I already sent my application to pursue phd this year and decided to postpone my registration to this August. so in the meantime I'm working to be able to pay my first semester fee.

since Mybrain15 is open, do you guys think that it would be okay to apply for the scholarship when:-

1. I'm still not registered and only applying using the online (unofficial) offer letter?
2. Still working in private sector until the month before registration (August)? Because I intent to quit my work before the registration.

and is Mybrain15 will open for the second time within this year? because if there is a high probability it will open again, I will applied them after I'm registered. Since if there is too much holes in the application, I'm afraid that the chances of being approve are low. HUHU

so I hope you guys can give your opinion on this matter. Thanks in advance!

It's election fever

You can only apply once you are registered with the university.

So plan everything wisely.

Keep your offer letter.

Resign in time for the August intake, then apply.

I don't think they will close Mybrain so soon.

I've got a text message that we can check our mybrain application result. But the link didn't have any place for me to check any. I even call but always engage (either too many is calling or they are lazy as usual). Anybody have check?

I registered for MyPhD but my interview is for MyMaster. Will need to call them next week to check on it. I think they got mixed up.

All myphd applicant got the same issue bro. All state there mymaster. You don't worry about that. Mine also state there mymaster. Lol. My interview is on 17th at upm. Good luck to you endrylim 💪🏼

Yes bro. Most probably the budget is limited hence the interview. My assumption only.

U can also try any fellowship schemes at your own university.

I've just finished my interview. Hopefully got good result ☺️

The main reason they did the interview is to see how motivated are we in pursuing the PhD. They don't want the student do it half way and then stop 😅 Hopefully I'm going to finish on time. Hope my boss, wife and kids understand this 🤣

Goodluck everyone who will attend myBrain interview. During my years of PhD study, I didn't have to attend the interview. They have changed the policy

2. Research and contribution to country
3. Extra curriculum and volunteerism that we have done
4. Pelan pembangunan pendidikan negara - what do you understand about mybrain15
5. Paper publication
6. Current local and international news

Basic and general question
Panel will look at your document
Interview in English or Bahasa (preferably English)
