QUOTE(zlyc @ May 14 2012, 04:11 PM) After drving the car for few days and i found that :- The smell from outside very fast suck into the car. If you pass through hawker stalls or an old car in front, the smell can get into the car very fast.. can improve? One more thing, silverstone tyre really noisy and the nvh of forte not so great.. can someone share how to improve NVH without changing the tyre? I believe the fresh air intake mode is on (green light)..so the outdoor air (with all the smell) will seep into the cabin though the Forte aircond system come with the cabin air filter. Please choose the internal circulation mode by pressing the button manually (amber light)..the outdoor smell will be greatly reduced This post has been edited by izputra: May 14 2012, 04:41 PM

QUOTE(randeron @ May 15 2012, 05:09 PM) perhaps something i buy i expect to be problemless and work they way it should. it shouldn be water inside. haha As posted many time before..even luxury cars got this foggy (condensation) issue..posted also many proven pics. I'm calling it an issue coz it's not a problem after all in anyway... Added on May 15, 2012, 6:09 pmQUOTE(bornwilder @ May 15 2012, 05:45 PM) if that is the case my compressor or my a/c confirm got big problem already! i set my temp at 19 and it is rather cold for me ( just nice la) if i set anything above 20....omg ....my car got hi tech dual zone a/c already driver side like warm air coming out passenger side will be cold. it is really frustrating me. if any brothers here can give good advice on this matter would be a major help. It somehow happen to me also last time..but it's the other way round than yours. Driver's side aircond vents produce colder air if compared to the passenger's side. Last time bro taipan did posted on how to reset the aircond system if this sort of behavior happen, but i forgot already. It was posted long time ago This post has been edited by izputra: May 15 2012, 06:09 PM

QUOTE(fraz006 @ May 15 2012, 07:23 PM) at the very first front page post, under maintenance table. what if all those non KIA cars opt for fully synth? coz ive done this in my previous BLM, perfectly allowed plus if u are smart, u can strike out some small2 items coz it is obviously replaced too often already. what is the source of this maintenance summary? to me, it is soooo KIA biased. haha It is not KIA biased. Kindly accept that this is a fact. Most Malaysian mentality is still believe that KIA cars is expensive to maintain. It might be true for previous gen of KIA cars, but not the current gen of KIA cars. For Forte (4-speed) maintenance price summary, i got it from the NazaKia SC itself. For the other cars maintenance price summary, i obtained it from their respective official website as at that time (March last year if i'm not mistaken)

QUOTE(jeschong @ May 16 2012, 11:06 AM) hi all i got these maintenance table (full syn n semi syn) from my sa duno whether help anot. This table is applicable to the 4-speed Forte. I already summarize this in the maintenance table pricing on the first post of this thread. 6-speed Forte got a bit higher pricing scheme due to the fully syn ATF. Anyway..thanks for your contribution This post has been edited by izputra: May 16 2012, 11:33 AM

QUOTE(Proclaimer @ May 16 2012, 03:58 PM) Same case for me. If auto set to low blower speed, then the driver side will be colder than the passenger side. Asked Kinrara SC they said its normal because of the location of the compressor. Somehow i doubt that What?..it is caused by the location of the compressor??? All car AC compressor surely located at the engine bay & this has nothing to do with this issue. If they said the location of the blower, i still can accept that though the reason might be arguable.

QUOTE(emy_xvidia @ May 27 2012, 05:15 PM) good job bro for this. Well done! If you could include the K5 Optima then it'd be better Optima already consider a D-segment car..in this table, only B & C-segment cars are compared

QUOTE(pubmut @ May 28 2012, 01:41 PM) Don't think the cost table for Vios 1.5 is accurate bro, likewise for my City. My wife's Vios surely cost more than that during the major servicing. Maybe I should compile all the receipts from the vehicle to give a more real-world scenario instead of the low estimates by the various automakers. One thing they don't consider is the lack of attention paid during assembly of which we customers have to spend our most precious commodity - our time, to go to the SC to have it fixed. If we can charge the automakers for these kinds of inattention, I think then we can strike a fair comparison on which automaker does make good and reliable cars. Yeah..i just put all the figures that i got from Toyota SC last time when i serviced my father's Vios. In real world..sure got difference. They might underestimate the servicing price i believe...

Cars will always have newer models. if you think its time to get a new ride.... just go for the forte... the offer is good, no other cars wit such spec will be selling at this price.... just buy it man.... haha who knows the next forte/K3 will be more expensive.... I bet that it will be more expensive..by a hefty margin

QUOTE(warrior @ May 29 2012, 07:05 PM) did u feel cooling faster when u get into car under hot sun, share your thought bro Yes..though it's not that significant..but i'm able to notice that. However, I did not insulate the aircond refrigerant return pipe entirely (leave some part as it is) becoz from my understanding, some heat need to be absorbed by the pipe to make sure that the refrigerant inside the pipe transforms completely to gas form. Refrigerant need to be in the gas form in order for the compressor to work efficiently. Liquid refrigerant might introduce problem to the compressor & it might not work efficiently. QUOTE(Intel@Atom @ May 31 2012, 07:15 AM) hi forte owners, is that true that forte cannot be start if the gear is not in N or P mode? sorry asking this noob question coz all the while have been driving manual car. should be getting my car friday or next monday. Yes..it's true. Besides that, also need to press the brake pedal when starting the car unless u use the contingency/alternative method to start it (which is not recommended unless necessary) This post has been edited by izputra: May 31 2012, 08:00 AM
