Because I haven't reach the level to join in the discussion you lots have. I mean I haven't read much of manu obviously... I didnt know Rooney and Ferdinand came from MU Academy. I certainly didnt know Ronaldo played for England....

It's subjective but I really think Carroll has been playing well lately, especially against Spurs. He certainly looks fitter and more active that he did earlier in the season. Against Spurs he won almost everything in the air against Dawson and King, both full fledged England internationals and certainly no mugs. He also tracked back to win the ball in midfield. I believe in giving credit when it's due even if it's your biggest enemy. There are a number of ratings assigned to players online and most would agree the Carroll was one of our best players against Tottenham. Not so with Spearing though.

carroll is just starting to get back his form, so i believe suarez will benefited from it. i think this weekend KD will start carroll alone and put suarez on the bench, same formation against spurs. didnt fancy us 4-4-2 against MU at OT

I don't think anyone played badly against Spurs. Everyone put their shift in and did well. Maybe apart from Kuyt because he dilly dallies, wastes the ball and had poor touches in that game but then again, it's normal. I love Dirk alot but he just frustrates me!

And Spearing is vital for the Liverpool midfield with Lucas unavailable.

And bitebug, you shouldn't even have Torres as your signature since January 31st 2011 tongue.gif

He was doing pretty well against the mancs but horrible in the game against Spurs. Passing for instance was not up to standard. I think he actually the worst player on pitch, behind Kuyt. Just my 2 cents

But you've got to hand it to him for doing the dirty job at the back.

Maybe it wasn't one of his better games but what he contributes defensively is important.

Charlie Adam and Steven Gerrard partnership has been proven to fail because Adam doesn't track his man or have good tactical defending awareness and that causes Gerrard to sit deep and not influence the attacking third at all.
