When i come to think of it,we are playing the carling cup on the 26th which is one week after the FA cup 5th round.
I rather we play a lower division team now than any of arsenal,chelsea or spurs.I also hope two of those three get drawn against each other

Great to know carroll has scored I have always believed in him and i find the criticism of him here unjustified.
It's a difficult month ahead as we have to play tottenham,united at ot and the carling cup final.
I realised the everton fixture has been postponed in favour of the brighton fa cup game.

I am not sure of the initial date.I saw the date as postponed on the lfc website after we won against united.I assumed it was because of the 5th round game.

The initial date i meant was the everton date not the carling cup date.

Damn i have to tolerate this weekend without lfc match.

The only team i support other than liverpool is harimau malaya.

I did have a soft spot for arsenal last time but they have become an academy in the last few years.They have been developing young players only to see them leave for barca and city.

If we were to keep spurs 5star attack at bay,we need spearing back.

I said before the man united game that we needed spearing.We didnt have him on the day and as a result we were dominated by old timers.

I fear for our defence if adam plays.Spurs have fastest attack in the league above united,chelsea,arsenal and even man city.

Like some above,i would feel more confident if kelly played instead of johnson to contain bale.

I like this but i doubt kenny will play this formation.I think he won't drop downing and kuyt.Suarez might start from the bench instead.

There was this particular incident where he nodded a ball and sprinted past united's defender.
He took too many touches and wasted the chance.If it was the liverpool torres,he would shot straight away.

Seems like some supernatural force working around him as the slump in form has gone for too long.I actually find it comical that he can't even take easy chances
Is he trying too hard or adapting to a change in style ala henry when the latter went to barcelona?

I lold when the commentator said torres has more yellow cards than goals for chelsea.

Heard that enrique injured from lfc forum 2hours ago.

So johnson has the job of containing kyle walker,kelly to stop bale and spearing to break modric play.

Happy with this line up all round.I am guessing suarez will come on for bellamy in the second half.

Our whole backline was fantastic today coping with bale,adebayor and walker.It's hard to choose but i'll still go with johnson.

Somehow i think that 4th spot is like the game of passing the bomb.
The teams are fighting about who will lose more instead of who will win more.

I support this.From the 9 games we drew,we got 9points.

Even if we lost 5 of the games drawn and won 4 of it we would have 12points which is still more than 9.
The draws killed our title dreams in 08-09,it still hasn't changed much now.Infact,it's gotten worse.

That's not the point.it's about taking the risks isn't it?in 08-09 we only lost two but united lost 5 or 6.There's no prize for guessing who won.
Rafa was criticised for not being adventurous enough when he played two dm's.

The point is when you search for a winner,you push almost your whole team up.We have seen van der sar and joe hart coming up to last minute corner's in search of a goal.But we have never seen reina do that if i am not mistaken.

Liverpool currently are playing it too safe.We don't lose but we won't win either.

3 draws is the same as 2 losses.We lose 6points in that.Inadvertently we are actually losing instead of gaining points with the amount of games we have drawn.

Statistics don't give the true picture contrary to what people think.We may have a high number of chance created but that's just quantitative analysis.Statistics gives you only that.We should be more interested in the qualitative analysis of things.There were many times our players were holding on the ball for too long.That was the result of the non availability of players in positions to receive the ball.Essentially it means there was a lack of movement from the players.
I have to admit that i am still unsure about the main cause of our lack of creativity.Some say we lack the playmaker like silva or benayoun for us last time to slip in through balls in tight situations,while some say our players are a too static.eg: adam,carroll Perhaps it's a combination of both.

From what i remember there were only four decent chances that i consider a quality chance at scoring a goal.
Johnson's shot at the end of first of half,kelly's shot,carroll's right foot disaster and suarez unfortunate handball.

The rest were just speculative shots that had a higher probability of missing the target than hitting it.

Taken from soccernet:we had 17shots,only 4 of them were on target.That backs my notion that the chances we create aren't good enough although i don't like using stats.
