i felt slep after 1st half

Andy Carroll scored a good goal but wasted a few decent chances. He was pretty much contained by El Abd in the first half and failed to lose his marker. He should have try to get into the blind side of the defenders instead of falling down like softie everytime he got nudged.

If there's a position that Downing should play week in week out, it's the left wing position. That's where he excels the most.

On the contrary, Henderson is a big let down. Almost half a year training in the team but looked lost most of the time. Sigh.

Agger and Skrtel are really solid, both are good passers, able to score goals from headers and corners. Firepower from back is just what we need, something we were really missing during the heydays of Carra.

Last but not least, what can i say about Suarez? Weak penalty but glad he was able to redeem himself by chipping in a goal. He deserved it. He was a constant threat to the Brighton back four throughout the game.

yup..henderson is really a big let down..i still can't get it..why him...why him for 20 million?

Henderson was nvr a right winger to begin with although he did play that position a few times....but still u all can see the big diff when he is playing as a more central midfielder.....and I still can't understand why KD insist on playing him as a right winger.....

Btw, I really do hope henderson and downing can learn how to cross the ball from gerrard more......last night match u can easily see how deadly gerrard crosses is compare to both of them.....and good to see adam set pieces skill is beginning to come back after what can I say his set pieces has been piss poor up until now....

btw, i love the looks of kenny face when suarez scored. he knows suarez deserves and needs to score goals after what he been through for the past couple months. that's why he told kuyt to give the penalty to suarez. i already knew he will miss it because of the body language. i guess the team need to start penalty lesson again.

hendo was a bit of disappointment. despite his 'assist' for gerrard's goal he was rather invisible last night. sloppy pass and all. offers no help to johnson and the right flank being exploit many time because of that.

oh i loves how the brighton fans booing suarez when he gets the ball at the beginning of the game but it soon disappear after suarez glide through the defense everytime he gets the ball and made them shit in their pants.

my bad..btw 16million for henderson is still quite a bad bussiness..we should find a proper RM/RW instead of him...at this moment, bellamy,kuyt & maxi is the best candidate there than henderson..

Suarez was a bit off early in the game, probably affected by the boos but he slowly gained his confidence back. Suarez and Carroll should both start in CC finals, I can see their partnership is slowly getting in form.

I agree with this.....hope to get a proper right winger...those 3 that u mention is not young anymore (all in their 30+)......It's important to get a proper winger that can put in some good crosses if we want to utilize andy carroll fully

Carroll had a pretty quite first half but showed more fight in the second. It was nice to see him rise majestically whenever he threw himself at the ball. Didn't like that he went down easily in the first half but I reckon he wanted to get the attention of Andre Marriner to ignored the fact that El Abd was molesting him during corners. Marriner didn't even have a word with El Abd let alone blow for an infringement. Talking about softies, the same could be said as Carroll was bulldozing his way through the Brighton defenders in the second half and they were falling like flies.

I think at 21, not bad for the price. Also they are training him to take over at CM i think.
Hes not a wide midifelder for sure.
