can i ask all epilda chip good for oc or not i see kingston value 8gb 1600 using epilda chip is it good for oc

haha..all i can say..better grab those RAM that using Elpida chip while it still on the market tongue.gif u can look my benchie here with Kingston KVR 2GB rclxms.gif but for now im hunting for Sammy Green RAM laugh.gif

ur using first generation i7 right (from ur siggy tongue.gif) i wonder ur bios got memory divider or not..since first generation is based on FSB when want to do OC sweat.gif

only certain elpida (BFSE, BBSE, hyper) is good.
i have tried BDBG (single sided) and BFBG, both not good at all
most good chip is on the 2gb stick, i don't think 8gb stick have such a good chip
btw you can try OC them and post result here for our reference smile.gif

laugh.gif haha..i dont think so bro..i just bought new 4GB KVR with Kingston name stated on it chip..and it sucks..even not stable ramp up 1600mhz with default timings sweat.gif and benchmark same la as the AMD benchie picture only the latency a bit good

i would like to try up samsung 30nm ddr3 ram 8gb kit but newegg shows discontinued. any idea where i can get them? single stick is available but will it provide stable oc over 8gb kit?

not so sure this helps but but 2 x single stick of samsung lp ram work @ 2400MHz 2T flawlessly on my FM2 platform. d thing with samsung lp ram is there's no guarantee since they're not specifically binned @ high frequency, but 2400MHz shouldn't be a problem, anything above is down to luck ledi. smile.gif
