Don't use any auto task killers. The more you use the worse it will get especially it will incur extra battery usage. The phone has so much memory why worry over such stuffs. Even at 50 MB left it can still perform well. If you want to use such apps use those manual ones - ie you clear your ram when you need it example System Panel or Android Booster
Let the phone system manages its memory
Log out/exit properly from your apps - use the app exit menu if there is such an option or just use the back key to exit. Using the home key to exit will have app remains in memory

The usb jig cannot rewrite counter to zero by just plug in with phone switch off. Works only in sgs II. The usb jig only allow you to boot phone into download mode only
You need to use it together with odin

Try use it together with odin flashing. With phone off plug in will not work

Only work for sgs II such steps not for the note

Install betterybatterystats to find out what is waking the phone. Mine at idle standby most is 0.5%/hour with some active refresh of news, tweeter updates in background

Download from market latest version. It is a free app. I have no issues reading ebooks n purchasing such from kobo
I never used the samsung version as is such an old version

Just select update in market if you wish to installed it - no need to have a fresh installed
If you have problems - try use Market Enabler to fake telco first

Either one will do

Of course it can run in stock rom

45 degree c is nothing to worry about

At least an hour if skillfully done. Dont use phone for few hours till it is fully dried. Some users leave it a day unused

You can always restore back your old rom from Recoverymode anytime you want. Just take most 10 mins to restore back. Remember to do a nandroid backup from recovery mode before flashing it
