Hi everyone. I wanna try this Elite R1.3 rom but I got confused with the installation procedure,
1) Once mobile is restarted, we debug (this is very important, you must mark debug on in the SGS) and copy the "4.0.4 beta" in the internal sd and reboot in recovery.

Where can I find this 4.04 beta thing? Is it this?? - 4.0.4 [IMM76K] RC 1.3 –Wipe- (3 wipes) http://letitbit.net/download/46399.4....3(1).zip.html

2) Patch for the “r” of virtual operators... this is the addon I presume.. Is it needed?
3) V11.0 –No Lag version.. is this an addon too? Do I need to install as well??

4.0.4 beta is the previous versions. The author just copied the instructions from previous posts.

Just mark debug and then copy the RC1.3 into your sd card and flash from CWM.

Just debug and then copy RC 1.3(3 wipes) version if u come from stock rom..if from other custom rom ics just get the non-wipes version.
patch for the "r" is not needed same with v11.0 bcoz dat one is the old version..

TWICS just release new add-on. But no AOKP yet. What is the different between AOKP and AOSP? ICS333 is AOSP.

1) This only applies if you're coming from Samsung stock rom (assume you start afresh). Tick debug in Settings > Applications > Development. After that copy the RC 1.3 rom zip file into your internal sd. 4.0.4 beta = the rom zip you downloaded.

2) No. Only for older versions of Elite.

3) No. Previously, there're 2 versions.
- No lag (original)
- Datadata fix (with a bit of lag)

Since you're using RC 1.3, there's only one version available. That "no-lag" version you're talking about is a rom!! If you flash that, you'll end up going to v11 which is an older version. Anyway, don't flash that

AOSP = Android open source project
- source from google. Nothing added other then what is needed to make it work on the phone. (drivers)

AOKP = Android open kang project
-Close to aosp but with many enhancements added behind what is needed to make it work on the phone.

You can find some recommendations on first post. Most users now use:
1) TeamNyx
2) ICS333
3) Elite

so ken, base on what you give the link to me, basically CM (CynogenMod) just same like AOSP, and flashing ROM/Kernel that base on CM also can flash on AOSP rite?

I mean convert back to stock gb root wipe and install? I'm using miui mint berry atm.. can I just wipe and install via cwm? Thanks again

CyanogenMod is not fully AOSP as tweaks and fixes are added to the original source code as the developers see fit.
However, you can flash kernels for CM on AOSP with no problem. Correct me if I'm wrong

Anyone tried the new TWICS Addon? Is pop-up play really there? LOL

well I enter download mode, open odin (v 1.52) enter following file CODE_I9000XXJVU_CL851880_REV03_user_low_ship.tar in PDA
GT-I9000-CSC-MULTI-OXAJVU.tar in CSC
MODEM_I9000XXJVU_REV_00_CL1092175.tar in phone

click repartition...start...

Does Odin v1.52 works for you in the past?
Put in pit 512 and tick repartition, try to flash again.

Just a note, it's not necessary to use XXJVU. You can use the newer JW4 and JW5 as well

I change to odin v1.82 put in the pit file and it works .. wow thanks man

Thought so, I'm not sure if v1.52 is the one for our phone. Most people use 1.3 and 1.7. I always use 1.3 since it works well for me. Good that it's solved

EDIT: Always put in pit hand in hand with repartition ticked
