CM9 will be ICS.
Not ready yet, so don't bother downloading it.
CM7 is stable so use that instead.

Are you using any special lockscreen?
The screen turns on when the phone is going to deep sleep i suspect. Or, it is some app causing it to happen. |

It does happen sometimes.
You can try download betterbatterystats from xda dev. Then you can track when the screen turns on to what app is running and maybe from there u can isolate it. Added on February 7, 2012, 12:11 amBtw, do you have a screen off delay timer in your setting? And what rom etc are you running? This post has been edited by MYstombox: Feb 7 2012, 12:11 AM |

Switched to MIUI mintberry.
Wifi signal seems stronger with mintberry as compared to CM7 even though both running same modem and kernel. Odd. |

QUOTE(fool1988 @ Feb 7 2012, 05:23 PM) What rom and which kernel will be recommend for daily using? Now using 2.3.2 Gingerbread was very lagging. Baseband version I9000XXJVE got any issue? Btw, anyone using I9000 with 16GB memory card Class 4? Isn't any issue meet? MIUI mintberry a cm7 variant is good, as is CM7 itself. The class 4 memory is fine, no problems. Also, you're using stock? ROM: Mintberry MIUI Kernel: NEO Baseband: JPG These are what I have on now. If you're coming from stock, its best you read the information on the xda forums on how to go about flashing. I can confirm that CM7 has no lag even after using it for months. I came from using Darky and after a while it started to lag. |

Hi, I just changed to MIUI and the phone isn't with me at the moment.
I am only 'administrator' since I passed it on after I got the sgs2, but still do maintenance on it. As for the person who uses it, this is the consumption habit: 3G all the time except at home (after office hours). Watching videos via wifi and outside via 3G streaming on PPS, etc. ~1h-2h a day. Gtalk and SMS, facebook occasionally. No complaints on battery life, so it must be better than darky. Darky had a weird problem where battery life will just drop like crazy, must be a bug. |

You mean just showing black screen?
Does the normal graphics come back? Or you need to reboot the phone? |

Did you do anything to tweak the processor voltage, clock speed etc?

You might want to check your clock speeds as semaphore unlocks certain clock steps.
setCPU or voltage control. Can't really help you with semaphore as I didn't like the kernel, gave me too much problems so I flashed speedmod over it. But got sick of the lag from darky and went to CM7 and now MIUI. I was on CM7 long ago, but at that time it was still a bit unstable. But much better now. |

It would most likely be because of semaphore.
Thinking back, it did happen to me a few times before, thats one of the reason why I swapped back to speedmod. This post has been edited by MYstombox: Feb 8 2012, 10:55 PM |

launcherpro is kind of dead already.
And i used it before, it gets judder once in a while. And unlocking it without paying the dev; although he gave up development. isn't the wisest thing to say here. |

to uninstall ADW you need titanium or some other app manager that can read system apps.
You need to download a new launcher first before deleting adw. I prefer golauncher, adw has some quirks that I do not like. |

MIUI mintberry has a new update.
Will flash it this weekend, at the moment on 2.1.20, it is very stable. Battery life is great compared to CM7. |
