Usually before I flash to a completely new ROM with a new kernel.
I will use the universal kernel cleaning script.

Clear dalvi, cache.

Then flash the ROM.

MIUI mintberry the newest patch and the 2.2.17 has issues.

My user keep reporting SOD and auto shut down.

The previous version is better, especially the one with NEO kernel.
Now with glitch, really glitchy.

Which MIUI Rom will you recommend?

Are you using the Mintberry Miui?

Thanks

Using mintberry, going to reflash back to 2.2.10

Use NEO kernel.

Glitch is not a very good kernel. SODs happen quite often.

Flash via CWM, not ODIN.
Download he file, put it on your internal SD card, then flash using CWM.

I kinda hope mintberry can let us choose kernels to flash instead of all together in a package. But I guess thats difficult.

MIUI was using glitch before switching to NEO.

Now switch back to glitch, but I find NEO better.

What I meant was, it was on glitch on previous MIUI versions.
Lippol switches kernels as and when he likes.

I realized that my MiUI Mintberry colour is not that accurate...

Im with Neo T3 kernel.. Is it possible to install voodoo colour for this case??

Or any other alternative on colour correction??

Thanks!!

Voodoo colour works.

Chainfire 3D also works on miui.

If you use MIUI, it feels smooth enough.

my user say keep crashing, can't fix until weekend.

And usage pattern no different from 2.2.10, so it cannot be user problem.

And user doesn't play games, only chat -gtalk, sms, watch video.

Now since last sunday, the phone hangs at least once a day, and got to pull battery.

i wiped dalvik and cache.
No reason to wipe data, i wasn't swapping roms, only versions.

i update from 2.1.xx to 2.2.10 all without issues without wiping data.
