Oh, yes neo kernel is stable.

I was on neo for about 3 weeks no issues, switch to glitch for 1 week and too many problems.

No flashing back to stock unless something dramatic occurs.

Just flash, wipe data, clear scripts then flash again.

CM7 for some reason gives bad battery life, MIUI is better.

Using golauncher with miui.
Don't like the stock launcher use others lor.

Once golauncher is used, MIUI homescreen and app drawer won't be available, obviously. So whatever menus won't be in there.

And what 'apps menu'?

you mean the app drawer? The thing that lists all your apps.
That one is of course available, its built into the launcher.
MIUI launcher has disabled/removed it, but its not system controlled so any other replacement launcher will have it.

Not sure if its based on CM7, but somehow, the battery life is much better on MIUI.
Maybe its better system management. I have no idea.

But its not like 10% or 20% difference, the difference is around 70% to 80% extra battery life.

I was on CM7 for a long time, but the battery life can drop 50-60% in a few hours. It then became better until it drops 4-5% an hour.
MIUI can easily last a whole day of moderate usage.

Running 2 launchers at a time will keep them in memory.
Uninstall ADW using titanium, and set the other as default.

if launcher missing, you can salvage it by going into recovery mode and flash over the rom again.

as long as non-wipe, a launcher will be installed and u can be up and running again.

it will go back to the EXISTING rom, but totally clean.

2.2.10 is buried somewhere inside there. But its intermediate only.
I am down to 2.1.20 now.

Kernel for CM7/MIUI are not for stock.

Best kernel IMO is NEO

Change the kernel, its controlled by the kernel.

What modem are you on?
You need the CM7 partitioned modem file to be able to flash.
Not the standard modem file, but there are plenty around.

I think JPG and JPU are good.

Not directly by the OS itself.
The kernel can change the sensitivity properties.

Launcher restart is because the memory manager shuts it down.
See if the launcher has an option to keep it persistent. Golauncher has it.

You also need to format the internal SD card.
