Hi guys, I'm looking to purchase a Nissan Latio Hatchback 1.8L Auto. Any opinions on it? Perhaps any good or bad experiences with it?

My budget is around 100k.. anyone else can recommend me another car that fits that budget? Looking for a small hatchback car as I live in Penang, hard to park wif a sedan at some places.. Noob here.. >.<

*my friend mentioned that.. "transmission is 4 speed nia..6 speed is like a standard for 2010 cars".. what does this means? Is it bad?

Help me plz.. 1st time purchasing a car here.. rclxub.gif

Its a good hatchback car. Really. Not only bcos of the features that you mentioned but I have driven a Lexus hatchback and the Latio is like a twin to it.

A worthwhile buy that will last you longer than your bank loan payment period. Go ahead, get a Latio today.
The fuel savings will make you smile,
the performance will make you fly
and
it will never make you cry

Great car Nissan Latio is but the version i tried was the 1.6 so feel a bit heavy during the initial acceleration but once it is up to speed... fuh... darn fast! I didn't even feel like I was driving at 160kmh till i looked at the meter biggrin.gif

I agree.

Cause I drove Grand Livina 1.8A is a same engine with latio 1.8l.

The car perfect for me, inside cabin is damn quiet than my GL.

If I got extra money sure I will buy for my wife.

Good car even look a bit out of date but totally still look great with full specs on keyless feature.

Go ahead.

I checked it out early last year. Honestly, I feel its a bit overpriced and very "kosong".

Since your looking at a C-segment hatch, I would prefer the Pug308 VTi, much better looking and far more kit.

Ya no regrets cos why? Cos I drive one too! haha

And yes, even after 2 years now, sometimes when I drive at 160kph I thought that I was only doing 110kph if my passengers dont remind me of the speed... can imagine the times when there were no passengers huh? Next thing either Dr reminds me or God --- or the Devil

Not even 160km/h & feel like only driving 100km/h.

Even my GL reached 180km/h & still feel like comfort & stable drove.

There is fews second you can reach 100km.

If you like the car then just go ahead.

Take a look at Volkswagen Polo 1.2 TSI. If you can find one with discount, it should be around the price tag. Beat a Latio any day. smile.gif

After service also good as that is the main reason i bought my Latio. SC open on Sunday too. Even though 4 speeds only but fc is better than you expected( after 10k km u will feel the different). Mine easily 1 tank can go 550-70km( city driving).

Err... why you sound like my customer who owns a Fiesta?

Hahaha... I only sit in Fiesta twice, but not for long period, so cannot really comment on Fiesta. Further more, those Fiestas are new. But if you ask me Honda, then I can share my experience/comments. laugh.gif

But Latio NVH, is agreed by a lot of ppl. That includes owners, owner's friends, serviceman and some others.

No doubt the NVH is good, but the car's handling sucks to the max, floaty and bumpy as well doh.gif
