I'm going to apply for streamyx soon but I don't think the new package is that interesting apart from the so called 'free' modem and all the freebies that we don't really need. I'm just going to apply for normal RM77 without modem one... coz after two year I'll still be paying RM77 instead of RM88 in the promotion... if I buy a modem (assume RM120)... that would be lik paying RM87 on the first year and RM77 from second year onwards...

That's just my opinion...

only rm 88 is without modem and 1mb.

there is no wat normal or not normal 77 package..

now only got 2 77 package,

77 , with life time warranty modem, 512Kbps download stream.

77(for the first 2 years), 12 months modem, 1024Kbps / 1.0Mbps download stream..

which one worth more for u, u calculate urself..as different ppl have different calculation..

but i will say the second one is more worth, coz u pay 77, can get 1.0Mbps, after 2 years, dun wan pay 88, terminate lah..lol..

Haih, getting old already... all this while I had it in my mind that it was RM77 for the basic 1MB package... then it's a good value.

How come they said that the promotion also for existing subscribers..? Means everyone gets this RM77 promotion..? hMm..

I need to ask something about the new TMNet RM44 package for 80hr.

SIB - RM88 1Mbps - TMnet doesnt give free modem anymore

Online register discount = -RM50
1st year = RM88 x 12 = RM1056

Total = RM 1081 (its the same as Holiday package)

2nd year = RM88 x 12 = RM1056

Grand Total = RM 2137



Holiday package RM77 - 1Mbps.

Registration = RM 75
Contractor = RM 88 (dont trust those contractor saying no need to pay, tmnet will still charge it to your bill. Contractor is not TMnet staff)
1st year = RM77 x 12 = RM924
=====================
Total = RM 1087

2nd year = RM77 x 12 = RM924
=====================
Grand Total = RM2011 (saved RM126 and you get a free modem)


In Holiday package the first year is break even. You only start to save money on the 2nd year though just for a mere RM126, which can be viewed as a loyalty bonus given by TMnet. Of course, there are risk in 2 years contract. What if TMnet introduce a even more better promotion?

Look at the Holiday package. TMnet doesnt care about the existing and loyal customer and they just fcuk them over just to entice new customers by lowering the price. And yet no cash rebate is given for the existing customers. Given that the broadband competition is beginning to stiff up right now, what are the chances of TMnet introducing a even better discount package in the middle of these 2 years contract? Will TMnet be gentlemen enough and give you cash rebate? I highly doubt it. Just look at Holiday package and existing customers.

So for a just mere RM126 a year and a piece of crappy free modem, does it worth it to kiss their ass for 2 years by putting your signature on the form and risk of being fcuk by them return? Well you have consider it yourself, i cant help you here.

What for they keep attractive more ppl to apply streamyx..
but do u know that... internetional link has overload and they just ignore it..

As a customer here, i am not satisfied with their service..
I pay RM88 every month but i can't get better quality service !
so can i pay 70% from my total payment due to their overload to internetional link n their lack of knowledge / untrained staff while guide me to overcome the problem, n all those problems can not help too..


more ppl subscribe streamyx overloaded issue more serious...
what do u think if u r not able to browse any website n it is *** slow ? but u had subscribed streamyx with agreement that said mininum period is 2 years ?

when using the free modem (ZTE brand): the speed is only 512k

now im using new modem: D-link : the speed is 641K..

why the speed is not 1M?

then the old subscriber should oso get this offer mar,
last time when we sign up, no free modem and hav to pay the activation fee etc.
