how about centrina ya,is it comes with downlights? reno 20-35k without furnitures i think quite expensive..

i have all three original hard brochure with me right now, soho, court and centrina. looks like only the soho brochure mentioned "light fittings" under furniture list along with plaster ceiling, while the other two didn't mention anything about downlight fittings. but better check with SA to be sure

Basically,I have counted that if I get the electronic compliances from tbm, TV bench,  dining table and chairs,wardrobes, shoes cabinets, sofa and some bathroom & kitchen accessories from ikea, paints, curtains, wall stickers, etc,I can control myself not to exceed rm20k..lol...

I have calculated lo, the L shape wardrobe I want should not be more than  2k to fit my needs...where I ask the contractor of my friend who quoted roughly 4k

If you appoint customized furnishings, always more expensive few times, as it is using better materials, furnishings std and you can view the 3D versions and settings and can change the internal layout n external of your wardrobes.

Honestly, if u go to those home shows, you can grab a good quality high std wardrobes for RM 1800-2800 depending the length of cupboards.

The Home shows furniture a sellers sell quality ones, and NOT BREAKDOWN furnitures which comes in DIY packages.
If for own use, buy quality ones which as I said u can choose from decor Home shows like Home Dec, Perfect Living. Etc.

I order customized in my new condo because I want the colors to coordinate , n using high quality furnishings gloss to 4D furnishings. And the height reach up the ceiling . Of course, expensive la.
Based on average, a customized order can be anything for 3rooms n kitchen Can reach from Rm 24k to 45k for 1000 sq ft unit.

That's the normal charges exclude Rennovation charges and lights.

Hai there, izwan here...i have been following this topic for some time now and decided to join you guys on this particular topic ....im a soho buyer and yes it will cost you in that 23-25K range if you decided to have a showunit like type of design...i have been doing interior and architecture works for sometimes now and you don't have to spend that much , play around with colours and decorative items should do the trick..certain things you can spend like your wardrobe, TV cabinet or your study area....the rest just buy loose item. Do remember once you do a built in , you will get stuck with the same design and limit your direction if you decided to change concept.

So I know that hiring specialist is a must if u want quality .
Loose or not loose things still cost money.
If loose until look not tai Fong or cheap look then what for ?

So u see it's not easy to limit cost as things are very expensive .
Eg do u want to compromise with a cheap cooker than a good one ?
The security CCTV put in unit already can over rm 2000 minimum. Shoe box design by specialist already RM 2000

What std the kitchen or what std the lightings is up to developer . If not happy then we can ask Contractir change the kitchen n hack it n put different ones to suit taste quality n std .

Free items are usually the basic std things . We are not getting things based on a promised value .

Like the paint - after rennovation done - complete paint job on all walls again .

My MIDFIELDS unit is quite bare only simple kitchen
No Nothing furnishings .
2 years ago after VP if rennovated may cost 20k minimum things .. Today after 2 years / if rennovation - the minimum will be RM 45k.

So sometimes it's not later only do the things . Delay action cost higher .

Our generation nowadays do not have a lot of choices on where to live.the only affordable ones is this type of development. For landed property is a long way to go for me. Crazy 700k -1mill for a landed house. Even at kajang 2 -new development and Seremban 2 the property there sky rocketed in terms of sqft.
Waiting for that perumahan 1 rakyat/ one Malaysia housing scheme is just a waste of time for me.dont know when they are going to do full swing on that developement.
I still haven't seen any progress at the old sg Besi air port
