using siyah kernel 2.6.9 + thunderbolt tweak + 2000MaH batt on checkROM v4, im getting screen on time 3 hours 45 minutes max with hardcore use, (games + apps + whatsapp + browse), battery last for 1 day 4 hours something like that,

now im trying siyah 2.6.11 see how, because for me 2000mah should can do more than that since got user ald got 4hours screen on time on normal battery sad.gif

It depends on what apps you're using when you're having display time. Gaming takes the cake. Browsing also drains quite significantly.

QUOTE(erymanthus @ Jan 29 2012, 06:50 PM)
I was quite surprised with this....after 57 minutes, battery is still 100%...

Running on Criskelo ROM v38 with SPB Shell 3D launcher.
*
Reaching 99% to 100%, the amount of voltage (charge) difference is quite significant. Use a widget to measure the mV reading and you'll find that although it's 100%, 100mV or so have been discharged. The battery gauge is made in a way that 100% has a wide range so that defficiencies in charging (as battery wear and tear is ongoing) won't be noticeable by end users.

QUOTE(Positron @ Jan 29 2012, 11:00 PM)
Actually I was on CheckRom but then I use set cpu to overclock to 1.6Ghz..
Unfortunately, the rom cannot take it and always shut down, the only way now is to lower the set cpu to 1.2Ghz..
But I can't when it reboots and when I want to lower the setcpu to 1.2Ghz, it can't and then it shut down and reboot and shut down and reboot and continue to do that for about 20 times..
Finally, I had no choice to go do recovery mode, but to my dismay, the clockworkmod recovery was for the checkrom, and i checked the restore rom, and it's not there my backup..

Then I wiped off all the cache, factory reset. and reboot on to checkrom again..
I used the clockworkmod app and restore the backup...
And that is how it went into bootloop..

Use Odin to restore. You could have booted to recovery and used the voltage control restore CWM zip to delete off the init.d?

QUOTE(FallenOut @ Jan 30 2012, 12:18 PM)
it depends
i was on maxis also last time
as well as a few of my frens
can confirm maxis speed is fast
in my house area i can get 4mbps speed
now i use digi
average 1mbps
sometimes low speed somemore
bt

the cons of maxis
it seems very easily we can bypass the quota
no matter what the quota is
my exp is when i was overcharged
then it takes about a month for them to solve the issue
n not to my satisfaction
so i cancel it n move on to digi

my fren case
he used watchdog n lbe to check his data usage
n as always
witout fail
he will b charged extra for his data usage
when he go complain
they would simply reply
those apps is inaccurate
our data is accurate n it shows its over quota
this goes on for a few months
every month he need to pay 400 - 500

at last
he join me over at digi

our exp

for speed
maxis
for coverage
celcom
for cheap
digi

I'm not trying to side any telcos, but from my personal experience with Maxis 3G for 1.5 years, I have never been overcharged before.

Most people got overcharged for the 1st month only because they are not aware that the 1st month usage is pro-rated based on the day they sign up and the specified billing date. After 2nd months onward you can use your full data entitlement either 500Mb, 1.5GB or 3Gb depending on your package.

I have been using 3G Watchdog for 1.5 years too and found that it is 90 to 95% accurate. I give myself some buffer so that I do not exceed. Please note that 3G watchdog does not keep track of Tethering..I was told, so be careful.

Digi used to be cheap and good...they managed to grab a fair bit of share market...but lately I have been hearing complaints from my friends using Digi..maybe they have too many subscribers already and found it difficult to cope....and by giving people "so called" unlimited data access, the speed suffers a bit....

Just my 2 cents...

Just to further illustrate this point, I'm sure you'll notice that charging from 99% to full 100% (not just 100%, but the one where fully charged notification comes out), takes a lot longer than say 98% to 99%.

Ah didn't see that perspective though, now I know why they do that smile.gif

Well for gingerbread standard, litening is still ancient. rolleyes.gif Most of us are still on gingerbread.

Why don't you use CWM to flash roms? After almost 6 month of flashing numerous roms, my flash count is still 4. CWM do not increase count.

Off Topic:
Currently on Celcom with 4GB dataplan. Celcom will reduce the speed of your data connection once exceeded quote bandwidth. No overcharge to your bill.

Did you upgrade your JKAY version? Theme in the kitchen is for JKAY v13.2. and not the latest once.

If you use custom rom, flashing theme is always risky no matter what rom your on. Always make cwm backup before flashing theme. This is a general issue not just checkrom.

Check out Criskelo ROM V38 or Turkbey ROM v32.
CheckROM v4 is also popular here.
