That's what I'm afraid of due to oil-based things ..

At which stage you got rejected ?
When it delivered to Malaysia and got stopped by Custom?

And your marker forever gone ?
*
Nah..the proxy itself refused to ship the item. Usually for these items, if the origin country is able to ship the item and reaches Malaysia, I don't see any reason for Malaysian customs to stop the parcel.

Just like lithium batteries. Japan has a strict rule that only 2 or 4 units of items with Li-on batteries can be sent in each parcel (depending on the type of Li-on battery). I've checked with Malaysian customs and they are OK with it, it's just that Japan has their strict rule..

Never heard such reason before. What figure is it? Is it an explicit one?
*
It's a male figure from the anime series 'Prince of Tennis'.
Doubt it is explicit. (unless a dude holding a tennis racquet is considered explicit to them)
I ordered a similar looking figurine 2 months back (also from the same series), and it arrived at my doorstep without any problems.

I'm not sure why it is held at customs this time.
Gonna call up their hotline if nothing is received by today.

(there was once last time they held my parcel because they mistakenly took YEN for USD. i had to go all the way to LCCT to collect that parcel, and when i asked them 'WHY IS MY PARCEL HELD? they told me 'I also dunno. Maybe they mistook the YEN currency for USD.' The amount stated on the invoice was 1750 yen)
Bloody fools.....)

Hi all, I'm new to AmiAmi.com, once I wanted to update my credit card details, it stated this:

Failed to save credit card information.
Could not save your credit card information.
It is possible that your card cannot be used.
We apologize for the inconvenience, but please check with your credit card company.
If necessary, please contact your credit card company to confirm that there are no restrictions on your card when being used at our store.

I called to bank, they said my card has no problem. So anyone experience this before?

They will usually ship out 1-3 working days after you've made your payment. If you use EMS, it will take about 4 days to reach you. If you use SAL, it will take 7-14 days.

I prefer HS, their packaging and customer service is better. HLJ's packaging can suck at times, and their customer service response is slow.

If the value CIF is more than RM500, then there's 10% tax. CIF = Cost + Insurance + Freight, basically its the total cost of your parcel.

Which kastam you kena? I'm from Penang, and always need to go to Butterworth customs to collect big parcels. So far for my experience, the custom officers here are polite and very helpful. They are knowledgeable and they don't simply tax. I have ordered about 6 boxes of toys, each under RM500 value, and all reach my house safely without any tax.

Alot of people try to be exempted from tax by marking parcels as gifts, since then the custom no longer treat gifts and gifts. If it is really a gift, need to provide proof (Maybe a letter/email from the sender)

If you got the tracking number, track online. Either that, they will send you a letter. For KLIA customs, I experienced before where they called me.

my item have been hold by CHINA Kastam..bcos the item was a RC Tank.
Reason is, Infringe Military Law.....Fuuu, i like..woooo so serious....how??
then, they said need to paid penalty..not Tax....(ni mau cari makan.)

i ask local seller whom take in the 1/16 HL RC tank also no such issue, my Tank is 1/24 scale, latest ver & unable to get in local.

value is RM 120, but penalty RM 128.
Since have be label by China kastam, if i paid & when item reach malaysia, i scare kena malaysia kastam lagi. I send a mail to argue, but they insist & hold it bfore payment clear.

I wont pay it & i give up my tank.

Hey guys, i just want to share my experience buying from HLJ recently. I can say, it is quite a bad experience sad.gif

This is my second time buying a gundam and I try to find cheapest place to buy it. Unluckily, I thought HLJ is the best. Here is the thing.

This is my first time buying from oversea. So many hassle, create paypal and everything, every time I made a transaction, they took like RM4 for service charge.

I bought a Full Armor Unicorn Gundam which cost RM200 at HLJ where at local I find the cheapest is RM280. (WOW I saved RM80!) but I was wrong.

The shipment cost from HLJ is based on the parcel weight, the bigger the parcel, the higher the shipment cost. Then after adding with shipment cost and transaction with paypal everything, total WAS RM280+ =.=' (which was the same as buy at local, even MORE)

And now my parcel is hold at custom for godsake. I live at malacca and I have to go pickup at KLIA? Are you kidding?? My parcel is not even exceed RM500 and they hold it also? What forrrrrrrr... Im so angry with myself and to those custom right now.

Custom will send you mail saying that your item is held by them. They give you several choices,

1. Pick it up yourself and pay the tax if taxed. (people who live near the airport can be considered lucky, you can negotiate and sometime not taxed, people do say they will ask you to open the parcel and some questions)
2. Hired an agent from PosLaju for RM49+. He will go take it for you. Tax and sending to door not included. (meaning you still need to pay tax if taxed and if you want them to sent it to your front door, youll be charged differently.)
3. Hired somebody else. Need to fill name and everything. (A friend who can help you take it)

You only have 21 days from the day the mail is created to take your parcel or they will send it back.

=.='

See the hassle I have to go through?

My tips are:

1. Support local store. Online store is cheaper no hassle.
2. If you still want to buy oversea, make sure it is not military based, weapons, tanks, or anything sort. You are looking for trouble. If you are lucky, that is a different story.

Do you mean that the shipping cost is based on volumetric weight calculation? If it is based on parcel weight, then size doesn't matter. Also, HLJ allows you to preview the shipping cost when you're ordering. If you know that its RM280+, why did you still order from HLJ?

Getting items detained by customs is a normal thing..you're not the only one smile.gif

If you pre-order something on PA and choose Paypal as your method of payment, they will charge you immediately where else they will only charge your CC when the item becomes availabe (in stock) when you choose credit card as your method of payment. IMO, I prefer Paypal since it is safer and they have some buyer protection stuff.

Anyways chances of customs holding your items are rather low of you make purchases which are below a certain value (around RM 500 me thinks)
*
if using VISA ? they not charge me until the item was available?
