I have buy from gwing 3 time, wide range of selection. Delivery time is good as well, the longest time I waited is not more then a week anyway, so it is acceptable for me.
Overall, a good option if you looking for some rare items.  rclxms.gif

Pricing wise, gwing stand in the middle I guess, compare to forum, etc.

Oh , I never tried their pre-order, but they are usually quite updated to latest product, so it is a nice site.

Hi Guys,

I never try to purchase online. Is it trusted? Can we find those items in Malaysia shop? If yes, better we purchase in Malaysia shop. Do you think the price is reasonable?

Thanks

Just want to share a great experience with Hobby Link Japan. I bought few model kits from them and one of the kit come with a faulty sprue (runner). Emailed them about the problem and they replace the exact sprue with a new one for free and they use EMS to send it over.

^Hobby Search is legit.  thumbup.gif

As far as I know, only if your stuff exceeds RM500.
*
To be accurate it's the cost of your Stuff + shipping

Do they follow that rule strictly or is it just in place as a 'guideline' and they will open tahan/open boxes whenever they feel like it even if the cost doesn't add up to RM500?

I'm getting a bit paranoid about my recent packages.
*
They can tahan... waste your time to get it from them.. but if it's less than RM 500 CIF..... they should not tax you... it's in the Act that I've used more than once.... others not in the know are in a way tricked to pay "Tax"

Hmm, thanks for the information man!  biggrin.gif

Final question, this RM500 rule is regardless of shipping method, right?
*
not exactly...it states air courier...which is anything by air actually...

anyone know the location of KLIA customs office for clearing stuck shipment? Is it beside the post office KLIA? I going there next week to clear one ems with total value less than rm500, but multiple same item in a box becoz i share the shipping fee with my fren, is there any best excuse to avoid tax(or tax by force/cheat) if they question it?

And anyone know the parking rate for motor/car near KLIA customs?

Sorry, I don't have answers to your questions but, I must ask...

How do they know there were multiple same items in the box? Unless... they opened your box?!! Even though it's not RM500?!!

How many items are we talking about here? Two or more?
*
Whether its above or below RM500, they have the right to open your parcels to check if the items you bring in are legit. Who knows if the figure is an explicit figure? Or if there are anything illegal inside the parcels?

I have parcels opened by customs before, then they sealed it up and send it to me.

I see, I must've lucked out in the past, luckily they never opened any of my packages. And now I'm getting paranoid.

Wait, explicit figures are illegal?

LMAO, Malaysia Boleh. doh.gif
*
Yup..illegal. The was a case where a mother went to a figure shop, saw those figures and made a complaint to the police that those explicit figures should not be displayed and stuff in public. It came out in the news lol..I guess it made things worst

i thinking the same thg...mostly they will ask me to open the parcel myself to look and ask to pay tax. Before this i also got some parcel open by customs without inform me and then seal it back, and some unregistered parcel missing forever (maybe they open and then...who knows, after all no tracking or insured). And i used fedex once, they auto pay the tax for me and without inform me too, then claim the tax from me. But this is the first time i need go there myself to clear it.

There was a link before..its a pdf which lists the tax for every single item. I can't find back the link, its either in this thread or at the Trade Zone section sad.gif

If they said 'Consignment held by custom for inspection', means they are just inspecting it.

But once they said 'Consignment held by custom for inspection. High - value goods', then they've detained your parcel. You'll then receive a letter from them.
