Due to the fact of no AF, I'm seriously looking for an old Minolta MD 50mm F3.5 lens since I having the Minolta-NEX adapter liao..Dunno good buy or not since not many review on the ancient macro lens.. Right now still waiting for my Sigma 70-210mm...BTW, your raynox? no deal? |

Check here...damn tempting liao http://translate.google.com.my/translate?h...%26prmd%3Dimvns What I mean above is since Tamron Sp90 pairing to NEX body also manual & no AF, Is it a GOOD idea getting this ancient Macro 50mm F3.5? This post has been edited by stimix: Mar 7 2012, 12:21 PM |

MD is lighter than the tank built MC and also newer. Some say MC PQ much better than MD but very personal.
Between F1.4 & F1.7, for sure F1.4 having bigger apperture and thus better bokehness but at F1.4, the focus area also reduced. So most of the time I'm using ~ F2 or evenF2.8 instead of F1.4..just like my flower photos above |

Yeah not cheap but very dificult to find even in ebay.. The most only selling within US & not worldwide. Well, buying cameras in Japan is not cheap.. what to do since it's a genuine Minolta and not vivitar/Sigma or even Tamron
