Agreed that A77 kit lens for sure much better-lah price also better for sure but why so susah getting an almost similar 16-55 range and not others? Sumore for potrait, fast focus & etc..easier getting one without adaptor and dedicated potrait lens wor? well my 2sen haha
QUOTE(zstan @ Mar 1 2012, 09:33 AM)
the current 18-55 can't serve you well? or you need the constant f2.8?
errrr... the a77 kit lens is of course  much more better than the NEX kit lens and is a world of difference... especially with the constant f2.8 aperture and super sonic motor AF engine.. but price also triple than nex kit lens la..
have you tried it on your hands before? or the LA-EA1 for that matter...i find it quite okay in my hands...

But if want that adapter, why not a SAL50mmF1,8? isn't this the one for potrait to catch the 2yr old boy? haha..I'm confused now..using a zoom lens for portrait?

Yeah personal preferences.. I also like the flexibilty too for eg, I luv the bokehness of my recent purchased 50mmF1.4 antique minolta but that wan.wth 1.5X crop factor..everything auto zoom dy like the max of my 1855 kitlens haha.. Even taking a food also I need to go far-far till touching another customer at the back of me haha..

Anyway.. It will be a good selection esp those got the moos..to go for at least 3 lenses kua? - A flexi zoom , a good potrait (not the NEX pancake for sure haha), and a telephoto of atleast 18-200?

Yeah I think a 24mmF1.8 better bcos those 50MM having more than lifesize image furthermore wth NEX1.5X crop factor.. like what I experienced wth the ancient minolta 50mmF1.4 haha

QUOTE(albnok @ Mar 1 2012, 11:29 AM)
whateva2k: The 35mm F1.8 is a very flexible focal length - if you've tried it, you'd realize it works well as it's right in the middle. Same goes for the Zeiss 24mm F1.8 E-mount - it gives 36mm on APS-C, which is the same as your camera phone's angle of view.

Added on March 1, 2012, 12:03 pmOh noted.. but qouting that bcos NEX only having 18-200 at the moment lor haha.. Anyway, I also bought another ancient MF 70-210mm liao ..But the review I read dun looks good sad.gif ..Atleast once that 70-210mm arrived..I'm almost complete liao rclxms.gif ...Later when boring on MF, and godd xtra $$, probably go for AF..wth better coating & sharper images kua hmm.gif
QUOTE(zstan @ Mar 1 2012, 11:38 AM)
18-200 is not a telezoom...it's an all rounder lens..

telezoom for NEX would be the 55-210..

Haha The more you play wth the foucus esp u intend to get manual focus helios..that for sure will take a toll on your battery lor. the >430 shots on 5N probably on continuous AF without slowing down to focus..otherwise, even 100 also gone liao haha

Fast focus for sure no need lotsa power-lah..manual, you keep on focusing till the best & click..The time it took you to click, the powwer consumption for sure reduced biggrin.gif ..Anyway, playing wth manual also very shiok wan ..after playing wth my Minolta 50mm 1.4 for a week now, Luv the bokeh although I hv to agree interm of picture sharpness, not as good as NEX AF

BTW..My comparison between a NEX 18-55 kit lens Vs Minolta 50mm F1.4:
SEL1855 NEX lens (Clear fast focus AF):

Minolta 50mmF1.4 (Nice bokeh but the focus object sharpness so-so- I think this is at F2 or F2.8 doh.gif problem wth..MF lens - no exif data on F haha)
