Last week I went to your Sungei Wang plaza store to try, sound is amazing for the price, it is just that the system is not stable yet.

all device firmware takes time, and it lies on how much faith we have on their software team, take ibasso for instance, they have Paul-Ibasso at headfi to handle customer service at the dx90 section, thats a thumbs up from me

USD299.99 + USD13 (delivery) = USD313 = MYR1317 + 6% GST = MYR1401

when the local price with local warranty is only MYR1389

Coming from the Audio Technica ATH-M50, which IEM would you recommend for a budget of RM1.5k? A fun sounding one perhaps.

Hi sifusss.. I've lost my iPod touch 6th gen. Sigh....seeking for a replacement.

Things I'm looking for. I can download and/or stream music online. Any interface would do. Best would be battery can last for more than one day.

Budget is as economic as possible. Currently using fiio ex1 earphones.

Thank you

Android based DAPs should fulfill your requirement for streaming music online (installing apps such as Spotify?), such as

Fiio X7, Sony ZX2, Onkyo DP-X1, Pioneer XDR-100R

But the price are at least of RM2.5k cool.gif

If not, a basic DAP should do your work well.

Budgeted DAP such as Fiio M3, X1, X3 etc, these are less than RM800

If you dont state your budget here, it is hard for others to recommend hmm.gif

Absolutely none in the current market for your budget if you want android based with wifi streaming capabilities.
Maybe Seiun Pro DAP if/when they are out in the market, but might still be more than your budget...
Just use your smart phone and get a Mi powerbank la

the reason why im asking for an OS based is because, when my phone is at rural area, i can still listen to music without needing connection (e.g. on a highway or rural area)

With OS based, allowed me to do some light browsing when i have connection. If this is the case, any good budgetted DAP that is good for its quality? Ezekiel recommended X3ii. but this is priced at RM7xx.. if i get a ipod 32gb @ Rm979, with iOS, which is more worthy?

Thanks all for your suggestion. Appreciate

Oic. I thought the dap only transfer the data and let the dac process it and amp amplify the sounds to earphone/ headphone?

Anyone test it can share your experience or explain in detail?

Thanks in advance

haha, try comparing by stacking with AK100II (optical cable) and smartphone (microusb)

see which one has noises and sounds better icon_idea.gif

Hope it's not too late to reply. Using DAP to stack with DAC amp, DAP only act as a source in providing digital files. However, the quality of digital out does affect the sound quality and sound signature as well. So different players pairing with Mojo will actually give you different sound.

This is also the reason that you can find very expensive media players that people use in their HiFi system, mainly providing digital source only.

So far from my findings, players digital out is definitely better than hand phone (micro usb otg / iphone lightning)
In terms of player digital out quality, I would rank it this way. (best rank first)
1) Cayin N6 (provide most details and good separation. Sound is solid and could be aggressive to some) -coaxial
2) Sony ZX2 (It's comparable with N6, with softer and smoother sound, more musical and very easy to control)- WM port -micro usb
3)iBasso DX80, DX90, DX50 (iBasso player actually has very good digital out quality, except DX80 is a little bit warm sound. For those who likes cleaner sound may prefer X7 over DX80) -coaxial
4) Fiio X7 (Quite clean and it's android base and support music streaming. UI is not as fluent as ZX2 as a source)
5) Fiio X5, Cayin N5 - coaxial
6) Fiio X3II - coaxial

Haven't really tested out AK players hand to hand with the above players so no comment. Usually coaxial sound quality would be better than optical base on our experience (referring to the same device with both optical and coaxial) and it's easier for you to find a better quality coaxial cable.

Hope this helps. biggrin.gif
