On a related note, the CLAS is only compatible with the newer generations of iPod/iPod Touch/iPad/Nanos, so if you're using, say, a Gen 5.5 or earlier iPod the CLAS will do absolutely nothing for you. Which means the iMod may be the only option open to you.
Not sure about the HP-P1, though.

QUOTE(yuka @ Jun 13 2012, 11:44 AM) May I know who can do this iMod? You can try Red Wine Audio. although the prices are a little steep. I'm looking to get the iPod from them too. It's hard to hunt for 5.5g ipod video nowadays.

Guys, no new touch screen good audio pmps around? I'm starting to consider getting an iPod touch and LOD out to my amp now.
What happened to the Samsung line of pmps? After the Galaxy Player that line just seems quiet.

Haha I don't care about the OS, just the sound. But Samsung does have SoundAlive, which I read is apparently good. Like Cowon's JetEffect.

There is the 32GB Cowon J3. Plays everything you mentioned, and does not require any special software (or so I understand) to link to your PC and transfer media into. Look for MrJinggles' Cowon Audio sales thread in the tradezone section. Never had one or tried one, but Cowon is famous for sound quality. There is also the Hifiman line....but very bulky, very old school cassete-player-walkman looking. I had one (HM-601) once. Really really really great sound...but I cannot bring it around without having people wonder from what era I bought that from.
