QUOTE(cyh03176 @ Feb 4 2012, 07:25 PM) then i bought shure se215 and i can only hear flat sound from that mp3 player but full blasting bass and stuffs from my samsung galaxy s2. Are you trying to say: Iriver + se215 = flat sound? Galaxy s2 + se215 = full bass? I'm pretty sure the s2 has got a weaker amp than the iriver. Did you EQ your s2? If you want to keep the iriver, you can get an amp like .22 / .25 or RSA Predator. otherwise, would recommend you the x19hd player, fun signature with big deep bass. |

QUOTE(cyh03176 @ Feb 5 2012, 12:33 PM) i tuned my s2 to automatic eq and max all settings in iriver eq if you max all the settings in your iriver, i'd suggest that you just fix them all at 0. your player might be clipping like crazy. the iriver impedance output is 16ohm and my se215 required 20ohm, that is why i think your se215 is rated at 20ohms and your iriver output impedance is rated at 16 ohms. it doesn't matter. |

QUOTE(NamiTomato @ Mar 18 2012, 12:14 AM) Budget : <500RM. Teclast x19HDUsing : IEMs - UE 600vi Listens to - Rock (Foo fighters, Kings of Leon, Jack Johnson and post-rock like Toe), Indie and Orchestras. Formats - Mostly MP3, does not really matter. Size - 8/16gb, if can expand even better. If it helps, I want to use it for drumming as well, such as to listen while covering songs, etc. Please recommend. QUOTE(pcm123 @ Mar 19 2012, 01:46 PM) yep, the only one with the clip that i know of is the sansa clip. |

No idea how the roocoo sounds but i think the sansa clip fits your requirements.
One more thing, ie8 has been replaced by ie80. This post has been edited by hongrui: May 8 2012, 03:28 PM |

I prefer the t15 over the phonak iems, t15 fits my taste more.
I would pair the t15 with a more neutral dap like sanza clip, x19 and c30 might be a little too bass boosted, unless you find it lacking in that aspect. Added on May 9, 2012, 1:12 pmJaben has got no stock for the IE80. This post has been edited by hongrui: May 9 2012, 01:12 PM |

QUOTE(tunertoobe @ Jun 5 2012, 08:48 PM) Forgot one more, but I don't have any experience with it, and reviews regarding its sound quality is mixed. The Teclast X19HD. A small 8GB player (with no memory expansion) with hardware bass boost. Said to be the most powerful of its class and size. You might wanna look at it. Being a Chinese designed player, be ready for bugs in UI and controls. the x19hd's signature is Fun with a capital F. don't expect neutrality with it. there are bugs now and then but nothing that a off and on won't solve. at least for me. |

good enough is a very relative term. what is good enough for me might not be good enough for you.
my point is, the iMod basically pulls a direct line out from the DAP's DAC for use with amps, but right now there are already standalone DACs (with chips better than the wolfson) that you can use without the modding your idevice. me personally i'd rather get the CLAS/Fostex than to mod the idevice. imod only works on the older gens and electronics don't really last the distance now. |

its just because sync via itunes is too much of a pain. if only the ipods are drag and drop.
