No wonder...in the setting menu, the wifi direct is avail...able to pair it as well....but if want sent, there's no option for send to wifi or wifi direct.

Flashed to overcome 2.2...i able to transfer 1gb file in few minutes....

There a few apps.. i bet google can help you out.. look for the apk files...

what happen to my tab?? anybody facing this problem before?i saw youtube got several user have this problem.
is it software or hardware problem?
using android 3.2.
i watch watch video suddenly become like this already.
US imported set, rooted by the first user as this is second hand unit.
what i am going to do now??!

looks like a hardware failure... best option is send for repair...
since this is a US second hand unit, not sure if the warranty is worldwide...

but if i were you, i will try to flash back to stock rom first before handing it in for repair...
it might also be software issue... cos flashing a rom will only take 10-30minutes max...
if send repair, minimum 1 week...

because i got no idea what is flash and root.
i just hope to have a tab to show my client some video portfolio,not for gaming or entertainment purpose.
i am not hoping to send it back to repair as well.
so do you have any thread or tutorial to show me what to do now?

to install a custom rom.. u do not need root...
all u need
1) a rom of ur liking (comes in zip format) and
2) CWM (clockworkmod) <-- tools to install the zip files

u can start reading flash101 tutoriol here for Gtab... Click HERE
it will tell you evrything about what i just said, and more...

if u want 99.9% stock 3.2 rom, you can try this as well... it may not be the fastest, but its the most stable and complete rom... 0 bug...

but really no Samsung tab user face tis problem before? why im so unlucky
lets say if changing rom still can't fix the problem, is it mean have to send back to repair?

I have this tab for a while but this is the first time I intend to root and flash the tab.

My question here is that, my tab is registered on the corporate network using PEAP authentication, and I like to know whether my wi-fi setting will be preserved after flash ? any tools? I intend to use titanium back-up for apps and other data.

I just want to avoid the trip to IT Dept, to re-register the tab on the network..

There's an app call wifikeyrecovery if im not mstaken.. it can store all wifi key n such in a txt format.... .theres a few more... try it out

One thing confuses me, the tab is a dual core processor, operating a 3mp camera, it should be able to snap pics at a super fast speed. But instead, its slower than a feature phone.confusing right?

I pad can snap pics like machine gun. But its mainly due to no auto focus n jz 1mp.

Although I nv use the camera much, but hope to see improvement. Hope ics will fix this. :-)

U just answered ur own question...
its bigger resolution and auto focus is causing a bit delay...

Plus, i dont think tab was design for a point and shoot device dat u need a super fast snap action...leave that to a feature phone like latest gnex, where it is faster than those of ip4...

Designing a product is not only about being the best at everything..but to be able to cater what it was designed to do in the first place..

actually is it possible to downgrade 3.2 to 3.1 ?

With odin or cwm, u can do anything.. just need the right rom to flash...

cwm is it need to download? it work on pc is it?
