What is TS?

I notice the map in overcome rom has the measure distance in miles. This is very weird. I think before I flash, it was in km.

Added on January 22, 2012, 1:01 pmI notice this on my previous phone. Not only tablets, any screens with matte protector will make the screen looks blurry.
I dun mind the fingerprint, or the reflection,most important is clear display.

I also always opt for clear screen protector:-)

I snapped a ton of pictures today on my android phone.
So here's the deal, I want to send the pics to my tab for viewing.

But bluetooth is just too slow.
So I was thinking to use wifi.

Unfortunately airdroid doesn't work. When one of them activated, the other device's browser can't access it.

I google about it and found that file expert is the app that allows file transfer between android device via wifi.

I've downloaded it to both my tab and phone, but haven't figure out how to use it.
Do you guys have a way to do this?

I just manage to figure it out.
No software is required.
both the sgs2 and galaxy tab has something called wifi direct.

First on wifi direct on the tab. Current wifi will be disconnected, can't online already.
then on sgs2, choose the pics from gallery, press send via, wifi.

It will find the tab. After paring, file transfer begins. At a super fast speed.
Manage to send 120MB of pics in just 2 mins. Fantastic.

You know how to flash rom or not?
10.1 original is android 3.1, slow laggy and useless.
After flash 3.2 then much more acceptable.

Tab 7.7 more expensive, and I doubt u will use as ur main phone, so the phone option quite pointless.
The best part of 7.7 is super amoled screen. But its small compare to 10.1 inch.

7.7 has much better processor.



Haiz, really difficult choice. Can't have the best of both world.
Sometimes Samsung very cruel also.

But now very happy with 10.1, the battery is excellent. Use non stop all day also won't finish. Can endure super heavy usage for a whole day without charging.

I'm not sure whether 3.1 has it or not.

If no, don't hesitate and go flash the overcome rom.
Confirm won't regret, much smoother over all performance.

Now here's an example where you want to send files from phone to tab.
On the tab, go to settings turn on wifi direct,
There will be a warning that turning wifi direct on will disconnect current wifi connection.
Its fine, turn it on anyway.

On your phone, go to gallery, mark the stuff u want, send via, wifi.
It will direct u to the wifi direct settings, scan, u will find ur tab.
Tap it. Then on the tab will ask for confirmation, allow it.
Wait few seconds for them to communicate,once done the transfer will begin.

Added on January 23, 2012, 12:32 pmBy the way, wana share my findings, after using honey bar, I notice home screen scrolling becomes laggy. So now I only activate it when I need it.

Enabling it all the time seems unnecessary, usually only hide it when play games or movie.

Another thing is, the quadrant score for this tablet is so low. Probably due to the big screen. But day to day use still good la. Not that bad.

I I mention that honey bar causes lag in the UI, especially scrolling.
I googled and found a alternative.

One thing confuses me, the tab is a dual core processor, operating a 3mp camera, it should be able to snap pics at a super fast speed. But instead, its slower than a feature phone.confusing right?

I pad can snap pics like machine gun. But its mainly due to no auto focus n jz 1mp.

Although I nv use the camera much, but hope to see improvement. Hope ics will fix this. :-)

3.1 is sooo slow n lags alot

Is it useful? USB adaptor.
Cheapest also around rm30.

Not sure good to buy or not. So far no urge to transfer data from USB.
Any good use of the USB adaptor?
Any feed back would be nice, do you use it often?
For keyboard?

I using overcome, so far no bugs. Gallery never have prob.
I compare to my uncle tab, his stock 3.2, from Hong Kong.

Really same smooth. But overcome browser more features.
More user friendly IMO. Plus the buttons much nicer. Haha

My god...so cheap, that same cable, shops here selling for rm49.90
After request discount also rm 45.

It can't compete with android at all.

10.1&8.9 similar aspects, just screen size and battery different.
7.7 has best screen n processor, but size small.
7+ has good processor but small screen and small resolution.

The battery of 8.9 is lower. That's a drawback. 10.1 can withstand a fullday of heavy abuse.
