U using free or ultimate version?Even the juice defender personnel told me JD still not fully compatible with ICS.. Maybe will test Jd with custom rom..

I am using paid version of Juice Defender ultimate. Once again I must say I never have any bugs or issues using it since day one till now

BTW , my comparison of the Galaxy nexus versus Galaxy Note is now up on my blog

I send in tab for warranty and they accept. Without receipt and mine is not register either. They dont even ask for warranty card. So i think as long as you got the receipt they will honour the warranty.
*
Yes true - don't worry too much over e warranty. Infact my experience with samsung centers they just key in IMEI and serial number - didn't even need to show receipt of purchase. I'd say the receipt is more than sufficient

Guys, I've downloaded stock 4.0.2 images from google website. When I tried to flash in CWM, I got installation error and installation abort.
I've extracted the zip file and everything is ok.
Can someone guide me, I wonder what went wrong.
*
What is file format. If is zimage you use adb to push it over not using cwm recovery

The file that I've downloaded from google is in .tgz file
Can I flash stock 4.0.2 using the toolkit?
*
Please go n read gnex toolkit function. Answer is there. You can use it to flash img files if your download after unzip is in img format. Did you unzip the downliad to view its contents. Dont simply flash without understanding

Actually, there is option in the toolkit to flash stock rom from google. Just put the .tgz file in the correct folder. My bad for not reading the toolkit thoroughly.

By the way mr benny, if I were to flash custom rom, should I put the zip file in the internal sd or the img file. I've never download any custom rom before, so not sure what the zip file contain.
*
You cannot flash img file from phone only zip file ( extracted you see system, met ainf, zimage etc) using recovery. Img use adb push from pc or use gnex toolkitwhy dont you jyst flash arhd 2.13 n flash from recovery. It is way better than stock 4.02

rooting is hard. sad.gif
*
Is easy using gnextoolkit
Only user confuse themselve n make it hard
As long as you can read follow instructions it is easy
I always say read instruction at least 3x to understand. There is no shortcut beside reading

can anyone guide me to upgrade to 4.0.2 from stock nexus? smile.gif
*
1. First unlock bootloader, root it and installed CWM recovery : installed GNEX toolkit
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1392310
2. Download stock rom 4.0.2 from this link
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1398800
3. Boot into recovery mode and backup your current rom
4. Copy the extracted folder 2011-12-18.16.07.08 into clockworkmod/backup in phone
5. Switch off phone, boot into recovery select restore this folder

You will now have stock 4.0.2 and all your phone data will be wipe clean completely
So before you do that , use Titanium Backup to backup your apps/data and restore back it from the backup. Any important stuffs you see inside the internal SDcard - copy it to your PC. You can copy these back to the internal SDcard after flash

use the GNex toolkit to root back and have CWM installed

I assume you understand those tech terms mentioned

You also can download the stock 4.0.2 image (4.0.2 (ICL53F)) from Google servers at
http://code.google.com/android/nexus/images.html

and flash the zip file by using the GNex toolkit

Not necessary as APEV V5 kernel already undervolt it by quite large margins already

That is taken from Apex V5 website - maybe he is using another rom. Mine is also different but my final UV voltages is exactly similar as his listing. i did not change it at all as the uv voltages comes set with his kernel

Guys, how to check md5 checksum? On ARHD rootzwiki thread, need to check before flashing. Dont understand what that mean
*
I never bother to check. Important after you downloaded it, make sure it is a good download by extracting it in PC

QUOTE from FASTSUM : The MD5 checksum for a file is a 128-bit value, something like a fingerprint of the file. There is a very small possibility of getting two identical checksums of two different files. This feature can be useful both for comparing the files and their integrity control.

Let us imagine a situation that will help you to understand how the checksum works.

Alice and Bob have two similar huge files. How do we know that they are different without sending them to each other? We simply have to calculate the checksums of these files and compare them.

Interested to know how to do this :

So, I can just flash the rom without the need to check the sum?
Already extract the zip file and it is good. Just want to confirm with expert before flash ARHD
*
In my few years flashing rom , practically every week I NEVER bother to check. If you are "kiasi n kiasu" go ahead and do it

Benny do you think the soft volume issue is a software issue or hardware?
*
I think is hardware. I used Vol+, tune up to +10 - improvement is slight only. Need to be in quiet environment to hear clearly the sound. It is so far different from my G Note and G Tabs

i believe soft speaker volume might be caused by hardware/chipset.
BTW, I still encounter intermittent clock freeze on top notification bar. when it happen, widget and lockscreen clock are working as normal. anyone facing this before? I had try ARHD, AOKP & bigxie, all these rom still having this intermittent issue. So I guess is not ROM issue. all of you use automatic time & time zone? or turn off? any other root cause?
*
Never faced such issues at all , not even once on all the roms you have stated

I will strongly recommend you include checking MD5sum into your flashing routine. Sometimes these servers hosting these files terminate the download prematurely, leaving the file incomplete, but remain named as the actual file.

I kena before (no thanks to Streamyx's Always-DC policy) where the MD5sum do not add up. I was fortunate to catch it before flashing.

I would think a successful unzipping is good enough

You need a custom Kernel for this and then use SetCPU. Stock settings are 1200mhz/750mhz (max / min).

Added on January 29, 2012, 3:10 am
How did you achieve that score? Mind sharing your settings? Im only able to pull until 6.5k with apex 1.0.0 and apex kernal v5.

This was what I did.
Min/Max set to 1350mhz. Governor on performance. Voltage at default kernel settings.
*
Governor on demand
All undervolt till 1350mhz
Never change any stuff as all default from apex kernel
I just test only. Nothing special added
So no idea how this score achieved
