Ah, thanks and noted. Only 640X1052 usable? Native 720x1184 not working right?
*
I never tried as I bought Sygic Aura which I find is much better than Papago. I used Papago X5 in my ex Dell Streak only - bought the HTC Desire version and change resolution to get it working. Native I think is because of the buttons issue that's why you can't get full display. Probably someone has hacked it - I never bother to find out as I don't use it anymore

All my apps are from market, hmm, maybe Juice Defender's fault?
*
I am using Juice Defender Ultimate - no issues/at all but one user here has reported he has problems using it
Try reflash rom first. Infact JD helps a lot conserving battery usage

QUOTE(Boy96 @ Feb 2 2012, 11:22 PM)
It only helps when the screen is OFF, when its ON, this phone still drains battery like mad..

I noticed about this phone is when you record video, and play it back on the phone, the sound is clear and loud, but youtube, or anywhere else, sound so low...

Oh, and what is the app that can "hide" a folder from being seen in the gallery..? I forgot..
*
How bad is " this phone still drains battery like mad..". What is your expectation you deem acceptable ?
I don't find mine drains like mad unless I am continuously browsing it on 3 G - than is higher than normal. Other than that, the phone can easily last me 12 hours, which for my moderate usage I deem acceptable. If you are looking for 2-3 days - than you need to be a very light user

Nak cabut rambut liao. Papago not working even with renamed folders to either 640x1052 or 720x1184, even with Spare Parts ticking off and on, then reboot and ticking off, then reboot again.
*
I will try it from my ex HTC Desire copy - update you guys later

Just tested, Papgo X5 can work on my Nexus. Just need change folders to 720X1184 and spare parts untick compatibiloty
See pics below: Menu hung in mid section though

So dunno why you guys cannot get it work. Mine is purchased app.
I have read it seems will not work under Franco kernel which I cannot understand why a kernel will affect it
BTW my Nexus is on Milestone3 Apex V5 kernel

Yeah I read it somewhere about the Franco kernel too. I'm surprised. I followed the as posted a few pages earlier about renaming the 480x854 to desired resolution. Can't work. I'm on Franco kernel though
What kernel did you use?
*
I just did a switch to Franco latest kernel 15.2 : papago X5 cannot work " ERROR - Cannot open Map"> Strange how a kernel can affect it

me as mentioned before. but I need more GNex here help to test. please try, mousqy
what I done is:
1. download all 5 RAR files.
2. extract it, you will get Navi folder & apk.
3. as usual, copy that and install.

troubleshot:
1. first, 720X1184 not supported msg pop up.
2. as usual, do the necessary to settle the resolution.
3. after done; I get "reading maps error"
4. now I only port in the Malaysia map from mfm site.
5. finally, after slash screen of M8 with startup music, then it's auto closed without any msg.

still failed...
so now, I suspect the map might be the root cause; still investigate. appreciate if anyone of here help to test.
and share here with your finding.

I am downloading it as I write this. Could it be related to kernel - Franco cannot work on X5 version as I have tested it last night. Works fine on Apex V5

Ya, can share share what is the setup? Im currently using ARHD. It is a great ROM overall, but the battery life is just so-so..  sweat.gif

My setcpu is in the photos above. Voltage settings are default set by apex v5 kernel. I did not touch it. Milestone 3 rom limit to 1.2 Ghz only but with Apex V5 I OC it to 1.35 Ghz. The various profiles setup cater to my needs might not be everyone's taste
