I'm still new to these flashing stuff. what do you mean by flashing Gogle apps??
*
These are the stock Google apps - you need to flash this as many of the core apps are in this zip file

eg maps, contacts, email, talk, phone, facelock, street, thinkfree, gallery, wallet, market etc etc

Great - it is indeed a very nice well made case . It makes the G Nexus very classier. Only issue I have is quite difficult to take it off - need some skill. After several practices, it was easier but still quite a task to perform

someone mentioned that the dealer retail price is approx 1950, and bro  Alieamin sold us before digi launch just for 2000. I m sure people would have bought for even 100+ more RM. But he took reasonable margin and did COD even at KL. So I can trust him for future transactions as well.
I would highly recommened and even request to buy from him. Let him earn more from his reasonable profit. He is not my friend. I m just a happy customer. So I don't mind praising him.

I fully agree. I paid RM 2050 for my G Note ( SME set ) just 2 days before it was officially launch at RM 2299. And as he is SEP, I get 2 years warranty as well. Best seller to contact for any new sets coming to market

This video does showing how to take it off but I am not sure in real life how difficult it is.  tongue.gif

It looks easy on the video. he must have taken it off many times so much so it is not that tight fit. It is indeed still a difficult task for me and I must say is the most difficult backcase to take off I have ever use

*
No need to wipe though you are told to do so
You can try without wipe first. I have install ontop of bigxie 9-2 without wipe n is perfect. If you face fc than only do a wipe
I have been testing roms all without wipe ontop of one another never faced any issues so far

Install kernel will not wipe phone. Already mentioned this many times in thus thread
Go for the updater if you really need it. I never bother as default is good enough. If you want pay for it as it is darn cheap

I have flashed 4.02 google build. That means I can flash bigxie directly without wiping out?
Unlock bootloader
root the phone
and just flash bigxie?
*
Moving to different build 4.03 advisable to wipe. Once you are on 4.03 testing different roms with same build not really necessary

If i try to flash new rom to my phone, do i need to reinstall back the clockworkmod recovery?

Added on January 26, 2012, 1:45 pmJust finish backup my phone using clockworkmod recovery.Do i need to take out the backup folder?Or i can just leave it in my phone to flash custom roms??It is normal that my backup folder size is smaller than my actual data?I have about 3GB data, but the backup only 5xx MB.
*
The backup does not include your data in the viewable partition
You can make a copy in your pc but leave it in phone. Incase your phone crash than you can restore it from recovery. No point deleting the backup if you want a backup

Who told you such nonsense
Unless before you flash rom you choose to wipe phone. And it only wipe your apps in hidden partition.all viewable stuffs in internal sd remain intact

Currently i'm using yakju4.0.2 .I plan to flash to aosp4.0.3.
According to the flashing instructions

1. Make sure you're on the latest CWM
2. MAKE A NANDROID
3. wipe data/factory reset in recovery -- a must if coming from a stock-based ROM
4. flash ROM
5. flash Gapps
6. reboot
7. sign into Google
8. (recommended) reboot immediately after

The step 3, If i choose to wipe data/factory reset in recovery.Which partition it will wipe out?the hidden?viewable or both?
*
Aiyoh. I already told you earlier wiping only clear hidden partition. Why ask again
Use titanium backup backup your apps so you can easy restore it back

Dear rifles : looks like you did not even do a proper reading up of what is CWM recovery and how to flash roms. This is a simple guide and I assume you have already installed CWM

Switch off phone. Boot to recovery mode - press vol button and power simultaneously. Use vol button move up or down select RECOVERy and press start
Phone will boot to recovery mode
At the menu : select clear cache partition, at advance clear dalvik cache and finally clear data/factory rest
Than select zip file - browse to where you copy the rom zip - select it
Phone will flash and just wait for it to reboot successfully
