If you were following the same discussion a night before, there were few postings about this flashing firmware thingy. Anyway, if you've checked the first page FAQ, there is a link to XDA forum on how to do just that..

Problem is new users often do not read page 1

I received my REarth backcase this morning. It was mailed out from USA on 11 Jan , so it took 10 days to reach me. It costs me US $34.57 inclusive delivery

http://www.rearthusa.com/galaxy_nexus_slim.html

Attached some pics. Some extra highlights - it is indeed very, very slim . There is a soft leather backing at the inside and 2 rubber plugs at bottom to cover the USB port and headset port. It covers both the top and bottom well but at the sides is only midway
It also comes with a screen protector

Hi Benny, is it look really slim after putting on the gnex? You got noble black? Will it have a lot of fingerprint on the case since it is glossy type?

Sorry, your photo a bit blur.  tongue.gif
*
Very slim and very good grip. It looks and feel better than my previous resin backcase which makes the whole phone looks and feel cheap. Fingerprint on glassy back surface not an issue - easily wipe off
Leather quality - no idea at all. For Muslims who are concerned, do email the manufacturer to clarify

I can't find the samsung nexus driver, so i tried to install other samsung phone drivers

trying to use samsung kies see if can transfer files
*
Try installing the drivers from here : http://pdanet.co/bin/PdaNetA302.exe
It should work
Just follow the instructions to install (selecting Samsung as your device manufacturer if asked).

You can remove pdanet for Android from your phone and pc at a later time without removing the drivers.

ok, thank you for explaining to me. anybody else can answer the question ?
*
Most rom cooks will advise you to wipe before flash. But you can choose not to. If the phone fail to reboot than you boot back to recovery to wipe it
Use titanium backup to backup your apps n data. Restoring back is easy

if i backup with Titanium backup and i decided to wipe the phone, wouldn't all the data be deleted from the wiping process ? how come still can backup ?
*
You just need to reinstall back titanium backup. Your backup data in the internal sd will not be deleted.

stock recovery or factory data reset on stock rom will WIPE ALL. otherwise, using clockworkmod is safe. it is designed as it should work like other phones. biggrin.gif
*
Wrong info. It will only wipe clean the data in hidden partition where apps are installed. The viewable partition where your download data eg games data, dictionary data, maps data, backup data from titanium, mybackuppro etc will not be deleted
I have been doing such factory reset so many times and have yet to see a clean wipeout. Everything remains intact

I did a AOKP to yakju (4.0.2) last week and it seems that it wiped off my /sdcard partition. So, beware ..

This will definitely wipe . It is different from factory reset

Guys,do your pbone get excessive heat when playing? Mine after half hour playing pirates of carribean n web surfing. i notice excessive heat around camera n top of the screen. Is that normal?
*
Heat or hotness is subjective. Use a batery monitoring app eg batterylife widget, battery monitor pro etc to monitor temperatures
Extreme gaming temperatures up to 45 degree C is common, nothing to be worried about. Yes the heat will be most felt at the top near camera

Uncle Benny, will it cause any issues if flash non-yakju GNex to yakju factory image. Planning to do it but not sure of the consequences. Thanks
*
Why you want to do this when everyone wants to do otherwise to get a yakju build?
There is no harm except your phone will wipe clean including the viewable partition

Just google Titanium backup and you will have the answer. Someone commented such questions should not even beb asked here when just by googling you have the answer. Anyway here it is:

User-defined apps lists with filtering, coloring and scheduling support

Additional features of the PRO/Donate version:

Zero-click background batch restore
Encryption of your backups (asymmetric crypto: the passphrase is needed on restore only)

Batch app freezing/defrosting
Unlimited, independent scheduled backups (each of which can run 1 to 7 times a week)
Dalvik cache cleaner can free up precious internal memory

Answer already given to you several posts back. Boot to recovery mode - select mount and storage and select from there the options.

my gnex seem not smooth as other phone(iphone & Arc) when I open youtube clip via wifi/3G

I would say the GNEX is many times better than iphone and Xperia Arc when it comes to playing videos from youtube
iphone 4 is the worst of the lot

any one using galaxy nexus SP - Mirror one? Is it not good? I want temporary solution only and not sure about the stocks. I can get mirror one quickly but m not sure. I will be getting XO skin from the bulk order may be after 1-2 weeks. Does putting cheap one will harm the screen?
*
Cheap SP will only harm the SP not the screen as it gets scartches more easily. I ahve told you several times no need even to get sp and I have proven it infront of my friends scratching it with keys and even a penknife dragging across it
