just got my GNex today kinda my first android phone. how do i update to version 4.0.3 since its only in 4.0.1?

4.03 is not officially out yet. You may use custom roms.
For google builds you can update to 4.0.2 or flash to google build 4.02.

Anyway people may I know which custom firmware have the longest battery life? The battery life only last for 7 and 8 hours

There is no format /sd.

Data lah

my files are still there after formatting data. Then i tried formatting system..the phone stucked at boot loop.

lol...of course...u wiped your system file...just reflash a rom to boot into android
the sure way for me to wipe SD files is to flash the stock rom image via fastboot, that's how I wiped mine

Yea i know...the bootloop was not my concern. Just that i could not reformat my internal sd card. Seriously need to reflash stock rom and re-root?

I too would want to upgrade it, will the battery life last longer?

Btw will flashing the version delete all the files like flashing to yakju?

I didn't have to reroot... I just proceed to flash a custom rom... and it worked
