I went in under All Applications to check, could not find it. Installation is not successful. But my steps are correct:
- download apk
- make into zip with winrar
- put into sdcard
- go into recovery mode
- install from sd, using the zip file i created

I didn't change the name, still framework-res.zip

Which question?

Hmm.. I called 1800 88 9999 and check warranty for a fren who is buying a second hand W. CS seems not so polite, perhaps she is in a bad mood. But after confirming the warranty is until June 2012, she ended the conversation saying: warranty is not transferable to second hand buyers. hangs up.

Wow.... I didn't even ask. But the thing is, the warranty service centers don't even bother to check. Come to think of it, when I purchase my unit from the shop, I didn't even write my name or contact details, or anything. Just pay, and that's it. Is this proper registration, if warranty is to owned only by the first hand buyer?!!

Samsung makes great advert to entice ppl to buy, but back end service not so great huh!!

Better dun risk it unless you find some roms specific for china SGS2. Definitely dun have on xda. Have to look for it at some chinese forums.

like i said...maybe bad mood.
but i guess they hv lots of work and holiday is coming, so maybe customers weren't kind to them, giving them a hard time, and the technicians who were supposed to fix them, go minum minum, while leaving the cs to handle all the complaints.

By right that thread on xda should have a flashable zip file. But xda is down so cannot check.

Please make a cwm backup before flashing, in case some thing goes wrong.

If you want to use CWM manager, select flash update and choose the zip file.

lolz.. fuked up.. but sometimes cs ppl also sucks 1.. no mood the way they speak..
and they dont even care about ur case even its serious or not..
last time i phone cs say my laptop dead on 3rd day after purchase.. ask them replace new for me.. cz within a week..
they say ok promise this n that.. say tell dealer bla bla bla.. i ask them do it now can? they say ok after this.. but no do also.. i call over 3-4 day and fucuk them.. then they only open a file case with service number for me..
then will call me back ask feedback and what they did today for me..

If not difficult to compile, maybe need to add to the xda site. Otherwise, ppl following this forum go there and get the same problem again. I'd like to learn too.

googled and found out that QMG converters are proprietary software.
