Yup, GT-I9100. But after I download and install the gingerbread apk, reboot, everything is still sama sama. No changes at all. There is no step by step or instructions on the xda page also. So should be install and that is it, right?

There is a Install APK function in CWM, tried it but still the same, because I get error application not installed. Need to go into recovery or download mode?

I know why I didn't see it in recovery mode because the download file is apk not a zip file.

Still can't get it install. I have zipped it on my own using winrar but with a .zip extension. Then put it into my sdcard. Boot into recovery with CWM 5.0 and install. But it says installation aborted.

I went in under All Applications to check, could not find it. Installation is not successful. But my steps are correct: - download apk - make into zip with winrar - put into sdcard - go into recovery mode - install from sd, using the zip file i created
I didn't change the name, still framework-res.zip

Hmm.. I called 1800 88 9999 and check warranty for a fren who is buying a second hand W. CS seems not so polite, perhaps she is in a bad mood. But after confirming the warranty is until June 2012, she ended the conversation saying: warranty is not transferable to second hand buyers. hangs up.
Wow.... I didn't even ask. But the thing is, the warranty service centers don't even bother to check. Come to think of it, when I purchase my unit from the shop, I didn't even write my name or contact details, or anything. Just pay, and that's it. Is this proper registration, if warranty is to owned only by the first hand buyer?!!
Samsung makes great advert to entice ppl to buy, but back end service not so great huh!!

like i said...maybe bad mood. but i guess they hv lots of work and holiday is coming, so maybe customers weren't kind to them, giving them a hard time, and the technicians who were supposed to fix them, go minum minum, while leaving the cs to handle all the complaints.

My phone............habis, habis, habis...................habis modding so now nothing else to do. Yeah, I got my crt and batt mod.
Thank you so much antt00. It worked flawlessly. And about the xda site, nope. There is no zip file there. You can confirm when the site is back up and running. If not difficult to compile, maybe need to add to the xda site. Otherwise, ppl following this forum go there and get the same problem again. I'd like to learn too.
