anybody facing this problem :

ios 5.0.1 jailbroken
phone auto respring when running apps and there is a incoming message

only affected when there is a sms pop .. not whatsapp etc etc

nvr encounter auto respring before.

Has happened once or twice on my 4s. Was not as frequent as my iPhone 4. Happened when I installed Winterboard the other day for my 4s and it repsring and then a message saying it's in safe mode etc. Uninstall Winterboard and everything was good.

Auto respring problem and phone in safe mode happened on me before. After that i found out is some of tweak that caused the problem. Remove the tweak and problem solved.

I don't understand ..

when iTunes syncs, will the cydia stuff backup (save ) to computer ??

restore, upgrading iOS and rejailbreak delete previous installed apps (both from iTunes and Cydia) ... ???

Guys, i tried searching older post but doesnt quite answer what i am looking for.

a friend of mine updated his iphone 4 to ios 5.0.1 via the usual itunes update (and updated his baseband to 4.11.08 in the process. done by his other friend. wat an idiot for not cooking a custom fw!) and then jailbroken it (i dont know which method/tool he used but by the time i got the phone, it already has cydia installed.)

Now his phone is showing "No Service", and i have tried sim cards from umobile, celcom and maxis but all also same. Looks like it is Locked and i need to find ways to unlock it.

Problem is, i checked the model number and MC605MY is supposed to be a Malaysian unit and it is supposed to be a factory unlocked set! any ideas on what went wrong? any ideas on how to troubleshoot? will Gevey sim actually help, eventhough this is supposed to be an unlocked set?

Hi guys wanna ask that is it sbsetting support for 3GS which is running iOS 5.0.1? Because after I install it just have refresh/respring/reboot but don't have wifi/3G/ Bluetooth etc. can I know how to solve it?

set the toggles to on for whatever u want displayed

i guess restore the iphone using itunes might help

I would say perform a full wipe and try see if works.

If not, try Restore via iTunes.

Either one should work.

If you strongly believe that it is factory unlocked then the upgrade must have gone wrong. Upgrade to 5.1 and see if you get the signal back.

That is what i'm thinking too... But i would first need to get the ios 5.0.1 and 5.1 both downloaded first, and gotta stitch the shsh to 5.0.1 just in case. Anyway will try that over the weekend and update again.

After reading all these JB's people been talking, so tempted to try the semi untethered >.< Guess gonna wait for the full untethered....I am lazy....

More detail please. What tyoe of iphone is it, what is the device firmware etc.

Actually a working home button is very crucial for any attempt to update/restore/jb. If the home button got issues, sort that home button problem first and foremost before attempting restore/update/jb.

For your problem i think a clean restore is necessary hut it is hard considering your home button issue.

In the office where I'm working now, my network carrier has very poor reception, so my iPhone cannot access the internet reliably.

What you need is to set PC WiFi to be an access-point.
