rope skipping require lots of patient and perseverance..i use to skip alot..starting from 100 a day, increase to 200, 500, 1000, 4000, 5000..

Rope skipping train ur entire body if u do it correctly..do not ever lock ur knees to prevent injuries to ur knee cap..entire arms, core muscles, glutes down to ur calf..

One tips for u, do not hunch not matter how tired ure to prevent miscompression downwards ur spine that will affect ur backbone alignment..and do actived ur core muscle during the entire exercise to protect ur lowerback..this is essential..

Oh yea, of cuz it is another cardio exercise, but a much advance cardio exercise..if u do it correctly, rope skipping shuld burn more calories compare to jogging..due to more muscle movement in the sametime and more intensity compare to jogging..more heart rate, more breathing..

Best of luck bro..preservence!

Wow, if you said it was true, rope skipping for 20 minutes burn more calories than 30 minutes of treadmills in the gym, ill choose rope skipping, cuz it can enhance our stamina more than running on treadmills plus u can able to be tall?

Please advise

it all depends on the intensity of the cardio. Rope skipping is very taxing on the knees and calves. after 30 mins ( with breaks) of rope skipping, like what they said, my calves were begging me to stop lol.

and no, there's no scientific proof that jumping will make u grow taller

skipping is one of the best cardio...
try to jump 100 times...
after that skipping for 5 minutes...
work your way to 30 minutes...
add some variation...alternate leg...double jump...criss cross...
just need to be consistent to burn body fat...

Any durable mat to recommend for in-house rope jump? I’m planning to use it with weighted rope from Crossrope, so material gonna be durable compare to normal foam mat like those yoga one.

Kindly share with me, sifu-sifu here šŸ™šŸ¼

I do muay thai and we do routine 15-20mins rope skipping with very thick rope(actually is a small diameter transparent rubber hose attached to 2 handles) as warm up before any real training commences. Yes it helps a lot in building the stamina for the explosive trainings afterwards and helps build good calves. Now i love to rope skip even on non training days just to get my lazy ass moving

Being active can help lose body fat, like any exercise can help lose weight and fat, but personally i prefer swimming, less impact to knees
