My 4k writes are insanely low compared to the chart, any way to increase 4k writes? Or is it due to me using P67 chipset? =\

FW0309 installed, the only thing i didnt do was the Intel RST installation(F6) while installing Windows, I only installed RST after Windows installation was completed. Am I doing it wrong?

EDIT: 4K writes significantly jumped after enabling Write-Back cache on Intel RST app.

hello everyone.. i'm thinking of getting a 80-120GB SSD with good reliability and balanced performance...

any recommendation?

Personally, I would go for Samsung 830 or Crucial M4. They have better read performance , and seems to be more reliable than Sandforce SSD.

Amazon US. I just bought the 64gb from there for 142 usd, shipping included. Most stores there don't ship to MY, but I found one called MemoryC who ship to MY for only 12 usd.
Also found M4 there at 110 usd but for shipping need to pay 30+ usd.

Hi all, I've just installed OCZ Vertex+ on my MBP mid 2009 that originally doesn't come with SSD. I managed to 'TRIM' it, but i noticed that my firmware is v3.50. Saw on OCZ website that they have v.3.55, but according to their disclaimer, no firmware update necessary if there are no operation issues with the drive. So, should i update it?My drive works fine, but i don't know what is a suitable app to gauge read/write speed for OS X.

I just ordered it 2 days ago, will only arrive after 2-3 weeks. Try google it, I think Anandtech or Tomshardware did some benchmarks for it. Also my MB is SATA2, so scores should be lower.

Will be getting 2 Corsair Force GT 120GB and going RAID 0 on it replacing my HDD RAID 0 since I have been using a lot of Photoshop and Pinnacle on it.
My configuration will be:-
1. OS - 2 SSD RAID 0
2. 1 TB WD Caviar Green 64MB (another 1 TB will be given to my kids Llano PC) since the price of HDD still high
3. 2TB Element USB 2 (Really slow after I tried the the USB 3 external HDD
I have a conflicting issue whether to Image my OS from the previous RAID 0 HDD to the new RAID 0 SSD. Will there be any conflicting issues?. Plus I'm replacing my MOBO to Sabertooth 990FX from 870 AMD Chipset. Plus I will be losing TRIM on SSD RAID 0. Any advice? Most of the time I will be multitasking using Photoshop, Lightroom and Pinnacle at the same time. Thanxs
