After a year or more you Gnex might fail on you or get snatch by thieve etc etc.
If you wanna purchase new phone from Digi you have to pay RM 400 to terminate your tenure.
*
Really? I thought only Maxis does that.

Last I heard on the S2 package, the termination fee would be the balance of the phone's value after the instalment, means it's pro-rated payment with discount, depending on # of months you have stick with the plan.

So just do your maths.

Or pay upfront RM2099 + 28*24 (u mobile) = 2771, and you are not tied to any plan/telco. Can change telco at any time.

I don't understand all the fuss. It's just RM100 off the retail price, pay la that RM100 and don't get tied to any carrier.  doh.gif

totally agree and i dunno wat's the flame for. digi had stated that the promotion is until 15 jan so there's no use for u to argue anymore since the old promotion also wont come back to u d. if u think the price+plan is expensive, den go get from alieamin, 2k for SME set 1year ori warranty, and go get umobile unlimited plan for RM28 per month, 500mb data, 100min airtime and 30 sms. if u r unhappy with umobile, can easily part with them and mnp to another telco without any hassle. dat's wat i do in my SGSII time. even now i oso still using umobile prepaid with my GalNote (GalNex dunhave simcard for him yet doh.gif )

Yes retail RM 2099,
Digi wanted their customers to sign 2 years tenure with them so you can get extra savings bla bla bla.

If you sign 2 year tenure with them, you will get the phone at RM 1999 with advance payment RM 250.

With 2 years tenure, you will get rebate every month. You can actually save alot with 2 years tenure if you go with RM 68 smartplan. But 2 years, anything can happen in 2 years.

After a year or more you Gnex might fail on you or get snatch by thieve etc etc.
If you wanna purchase new phone from Digi you have to pay RM 400 to terminate your tenure.

In this situation, Digi wins all. I'm Pissed!!

I'm gonna get outright from somewhere else. Definitely not from DIgi.  mad.gif  mad.gif

Would the deal on the web different from walk-in?

Anyway, go ask and see. If they throw you a list of fine prints, then good luck to you.

u need to take consideration.. now ur monthly commitment is 38 instead of 48.. even at 48.. the 20 is where u paid upfront in the 500... so for the new plan 38.. where does the 30 come from? it's actually coming from your 1999 price.. they didn't specify it out.. because they merge the price with the phone.. for some reason.. but 1999 is not the phone alone.. is the phone price + the rebate of the 30 u pay less every month..
as for reason they do that? it could be to balance out the market share.. you can tell showing 1999 straightaway throw off some customer.. but they are still doing low price tag + high upfront for samsung s2 and note.. this might be a strategic marketing and sales plan.. but if u really do the math.. u can see they just put same balls into different holes..

i mean really.. they know the customer are always choosing between nexus note and s2.. i almost decided to go for note instead when i saw the new plan.. but dig further.. i'd like to know the new upfront before i decide.. first thing morning.. digi center
*
Do you know what you're talking about?==

when the monthly commitment fee was at 48,it's because of the RM5 saved from auto billing and RM15 from the gila internet promotion..

68-5-15=48.

I was thinking about going for galaxy note now..it's cheaper by around RM200++ =l,but seems that most of the digi centres have no stock.

I really dony get it why ppl piss with other service provider over the promotion. It stated clearly that promotion last until 15th jan. I bet the reason why u ask after promotion period is because u are still wondering whether to get GNex until feedback from other early users. If have money just get it, dont cry like a baby.
I'll blame digi when they starts giving me bad customer service. that happen to me with maxis.

Im also a digi tranferred user from maxis abt 6mths. Coverage is not bad. just as good as maxis.

drink lesser alcohol and quit smoking will help. cut down ur other expenses as well to help u get GNex

I ordered mine d @ SEP Garden. they said arriving this week. getting it @ retail price RM2099

One-click-everything works well with non-yakju build, as I found out. Hehe.

GPS is working very fine, considering my impression on Samsung-made GPS in the first Galaxy S. I'm thoroughly impressed.

The screen is beautiful. I don't like my screen too bright so it's always around 40% brightness. The colors look nicer when put side by side with an SLCD. There is no way to tell if the screen is made out of pixels or pixie dust. Can't notice the pixels!

As far as size is concerned, I'd say the thinness compensated for the width. It's a bit wide for someone coming from a Desire Z. Just a bit.

Also am pleasantly surprised the 'springy' feedback found on the Nexus S and Galaxy S 2 is not present on the Galaxy Nexus. When you tap the screen hard on the Nexus S or SGS2, it feels as though there's a rigid spring beneath the screen.

Camera software has an aggressive noise reduction that is too much for my liking.

Anyone know how to get Papago X5 running on the Galaxy Nexus? Changing folder names don't seem to be working...
