I really can not afford to delay because I will not be available near jan end..so only option for me is to order 3-5 option quickly here...or to my home country(going on vacation for 2 weeks) the normal delivery one....guys lets decide and finalise? it got wierd.. now i calculated the new plan is cheaper =.=

hence 1399+1632-(20*24=480).. but u havent pay 500 so it's 3051

now is 1999+1632-(30*24=720) = 2911

1999 add 1buck can get from bro aliea.luckily I didn't wait for digi launch.

but the plans are cheaper..maybe useful for those digi provided good internet for them....wondering how much is the upfrant payment now...will I need to pay 1999+500+68 the first time?zzz

yes... so if the new plan dont' have advance payment.. then in comparison it.. the old plan we are actually paying 1899 not 1399

so the key is.. how much is the upfront now .. if it falls within 140.. its still a plan.. i mean.. it's just the upfront hiding the 500 from the nice 1399 marketing price tag..

u paid 1899(1399+500) but actually the phone cost only 1399.u can get back the 500 not by cash but deduct in ur coming bills(it like u pay deposit for somethg and u can get it back)..the current plan cost 1999 for the phone,it obviously that the bundle is more expensive although the monthly fees are cheaper.

u need to take consideration.. now ur monthly commitment is 38 instead of 48.. even at 48.. the 20 is where u paid upfront in the 500... so for the new plan 38.. where does the 30 come from? it's actually coming from your 1999 price.. they didn't specify it out.. because they merge the price with the phone.. for some reason.. but 1999 is not the phone alone.. is the phone price + the rebate of the 30 u pay less every month..


as for reason they do that? it could be to balance out the market share.. you can tell showing 1999 straightaway throw off some customer.. but they are still doing low price tag + high upfront for samsung s2 and note.. this might be a strategic marketing and sales plan.. but if u really do the math.. u can see they just put same balls into different holes..

i mean really.. they know the customer are always choosing between nexus note and s2.. i almost decided to go for note instead when i saw the new plan.. but dig further.. i'd like to know the new upfront before i decide.. first thing morning.. digi center

Agree! Upfront payment is just a deposit and will use to deduct the monthly bill.

For the new plan, even if there is zero upfront, its still expensive for Rm 360 no matter what.

24 months contract seem a long period of time.

can you show the math you did to support your argument? i'd like to see more opinions

err.. you can only count once.. what i mean is if you want to count 48..then u must

500+(24*48)+1399 = total of wat you paid

or you can count 68 which is

(500-(24*20))+(24*68)+1399 = total of wat you paid


the 20 u pay less for every month is the rebate you are getting.. your not getting it twice.. it's a sales magic word trick.. "your monthly is now 48 and you get rebate.. " but really you only getting it either 1... 48 or rebate.. because if 48 + rebate.. your monthly would be paying less than 48.. no such nice thing
