I thought they declare once before somewhere in March'12?

Yeah, I also remember.

The way I see it, the distribution serves 2 purposes now:
(1) Increase units in circulation, make it closer to the approved limit laugh.gif
(2) Distribute back some cash to unit holders, they're running out of good bonds to invest in hmm.gif

Added on July 17, 2012, 11:22 amAnyone going to this Saturday FSM seminar?

I know the exercise date is August 2012. Perhaps it just got approved and distributed later. I don't know just a guess.

Me too! I don't care about the distribution and I prefer capital appreciation over time.

Just topped up my OSK-UOB EMBF...today Asian equities rallying, bond prices under pressure...probably the last chance to buy before bond yields continue to drop when equities resume their downtrend...things don't look too rosy for equities for the short term

I always maintain cash buffer of about 25% of my portfolio in OSK-UOB Cash Management Fund to prepare for topping-up opportunities thumbup.gif

Next 6 months would be global equities bargain shopping time icon_idea.gif

25% as cash? Mine barely 2-4% laugh.gif why u maintain such a high portion for cash? Opportunity cost for bond fund ler. That is why i treat my bond fund as cash.

Switching from bond to equity takes T+4 to be processed unless u are switching from within the same fund house.

Equities during volatile times can dip 1% today, 2% tomorrow, 1% the next and then rally 2-3% u know...
...with Cash Management Fund I can buy in on the same day. icon_idea.gif

And with net yield of 3%, what's there to complain? biggrin.gif

Oh no wonder. Since i invest in the same fund house, i can buy directly without T+4 thingy laugh.gif

You invest anything in real estate or property? How is your asset allocation? Wanna compare accountant/finance background allocation with street investor like me. biggrin.gif

Me akauntan lesen "P" only lar blush.gif

Only FDs and UTs, no REIT/property, yet. sad.gif

UT allocation: 75% bonds 25% equities (abnormally high % in bonds cos just splurged on AmDynamic Bond tongue.gif )
My usual allocation is between 50/50 and 60/40

55% in Malaysian bonds
10% in Emerging Markets bonds
7% in Global bonds (overweight Asia)
10% in Emerging Markets equities
18% in Global Equities

NO Malaysian equity fund in my portfolio doh.gif laugh.gif
