If we buy fund through fsm, normally the statements will be issued by who? The fund house or fsm?

I bought amdynamic bonds through ambank last year. Can we merge it into fsm account?

It was around 7-8%. If you guys know it was coming, probably you guys can avoid the loss. Too bad the rhb management wont tell you a single thing. The company name was tracoma i think.

If im not mistaken, those bond fund with greater returns normally buy bonds from company with lower credit rating. High return is to compensate the bond's risks. But as long not junk status is okay. I wonder what was tracoma credit rating back then.

I always maintain cash buffer of about 25% of my portfolio in OSK-UOB Cash Management Fund to prepare for topping-up opportunities thumbup.gif

Next 6 months would be global equities bargain shopping time icon_idea.gif
*
25% as cash? Mine barely 2-4% laugh.gif why u maintain such a high portion for cash? Opportunity cost for bond fund ler. That is why i treat my bond fund as cash.

Switching from bond to equity takes T+4 to be processed unless u are switching from within the same fund house.

Equities during volatile times can dip 1% today, 2% tomorrow, 1% the next and then rally 2-3% u know...
...with Cash Management Fund I can buy in on the same day. icon_idea.gif

And with net yield of 3%, what's there to complain? biggrin.gif
*
Oh no wonder. Since i invest in the same fund house, i can buy directly without T+4 thingy laugh.gif

You invest anything in real estate or property? How is your asset allocation? Wanna compare accountant/finance background allocation with street investor like me. biggrin.gif

At the end of the day, it all boils to your risk appetite nod.gif
...and also the size of your ammo blush.gif

Yes the size of our ammo is quite important. If capital is small, it takes forver to see huge growth. Need to inject in capital frequently. Sigh i am still halfway toward my main goal 6 digits dividends. blush.gif

Lately my portfolio performance very stagnant. Hardly up, hardly down. Want to buy, but there is no buying opportunity. KLCi hovering around 16xx quite stable. Bond very slow. Inflation start to kill. sad.gif

Share your portfolio...what funds u carry and in what proportion? Mine doing okay...annualised returns of 5% since 2008 in spite of crazy losses during 2010/11 when I got too aggressive at the wrong time.

Agree on future opportunities though...KLCI stable, US/Europe peaking. Asia Ex-Japan and GEM valuation still below average though...

So, u parking at Cash Management Fund now? unsure.gif
*
85% bond 15% equity. Been in this position since april. Annualized 8-10p.a% since 2010 due to pure luck. Plus last year september until this year january rally help a little. Regret didnt hentam much during klci 13xx.

Funds mostly from PM. The rest amdynamic bond, asw2020. Return this year since january thr figures not bad la. 50% toward my goal lol laugh.gif but count by percentage, only around 5% too. my public strategic bond lags.

8-10% and you're complaining shakehead.gif

So, where are u placing your excess funds now?
*
Mostly still in bond. But then gathering cash since last month. Hopefully can gather around 100k before election. That would be my first batch ammo. Bonds are secondary ammos and will be divided into 2-3 buying phases. I dont want to be too diversified. laugh.gif

8-10% consider average only. If you bumi can park asb easily that amount laugh.gif .

Idea of the Week: The 3 Countries with the Highest Potential Upside

http://www.fundsupermart.com.my/main/resea...?articleNo=2834
Sounds logical, but China seems taking forever to stop moving toward new lows, wonder when will the slump stop and the market move upward? hmm.gif

Who got the heart to buy and hold til it "normalise"? hmm.gif

And who got the conviction to have significant part of their portfolio in Asian/Emerging Market funds? hmm.gif

About 30% of my equity weighting is in GEM, how about yours? icon_idea.gif

I already bought some china-hong kong fund last week. Public far east select fund. It is indeed cheap near to 2008 level. You never know the bottom, but you know when it is cheap. laugh.gif

GEM equity funds still moving sideways, good for averaging down ur cost if ur holdings still making a loss. nod.gif

I bought a little 3 months ago. But last week i bought again. So currently china hold about 10% of my PM portfolio though. Up 4-5% but could be wiped out if volatality strike again. That time can do average down. Do take note in November 8th, the china will rechedule their party for the next decade governance. Lets see who will be in charged and how is their policy.

You got buy any china related funds?

Thanks for sharing this...I'm just about to top up on AmAsia Pacific REITs sweat.gif

Now, GEM equities or global high yield equities, or hold ammo? hmm.gif
*
Time to dump into China funds. Indexes are at attractive level ie. 2-3 years low. Very hard to find opportunity like this. More like 2008 Malaysia version laugh.gif

But need some courage and tough mental to withstand the volatility. brows.gif

GEM is quite diversified eh? How much is the China proportion? GEM is indeed quite volatile, but if the valuation is cheap or undervalued, i believe hold it for 2-3years will generate quite handsome profits. brows.gif

Pink - <whispers>.. after i moved into FSM's RHB GS BRIC in Nov, till now.. 6%+ net profit. I think mainly due to the C in BRIC.
Guess how's me CIMC25 entries (yes, multiples liao) are going  brows.gif
By my own tracking, C is picking up steam like a "snowball getting into critical mass".
Note - your mileage may vary yar. Just sharing something i noticed from my own tracking / entries.  notworthy.gif
*
So far, the C performs quite well. Snowball into critical mass? That is going downhill bro laugh.gif . More like fueling up the jet. Based on your valuation, at what situation should we pull out from china?
