QUOTE(Pink Spider @ Nov 21 2012, 10:39 PM) Ask David83 la... What I meant is whether it is a good sign for the fund's performance. The fund's performance has somewhat stagnated for the past few months. You mentioned that the fund managers may increase the units in circulation to make it closer to the approved limit. Is there any correlation there or the fund managers are looking to employ another strategy?Added on November 21, 2012, 10:40 pm Its the fund policy to distribute on quarterly basis...good sign or not, please read our earlier discussions on UT distributions, I dun wanna repeat it again |

Nope, that's not the reason for distributions.Distribution has got no direct relationship to a fund's performance. Read the now-locked Fund Management Corner V2 for the often-repeated explanation/debate on this. |

Its probably they want to cheapen the NAV for marketing purposes.Distribution has got no direct relationship to a fund's performance. Marketing is one reason, but not the main reason.I can see you and the other forumers' 'struggle' in that thread FSM got no option for receiving distributions in cash, all are reinvested for investors. If u are investing with FSM, and u want "income", u have to manually sell your units. With other distributors, investors can have the option of receiving cash distributions. But its just "left hand go right hand", if u get what I mean. This post has been edited by Pink Spider: Nov 22 2012, 12:15 AM |

Who is this Chung Yee Wah? Is his stock-picking stratey coherent with Mr. Chen Fan Fai? http://www.fundsupermart.com.my/main/admin...eetMYKNGSGF.pdf |
