Hi! I need help with my Apple TV!

I had just got my Apple TV and trying to use it, but I do not see Airplay icon on my iPad 2/iPhone 5S's control center (the one scroll up from ur middle bottom screen). I tried everything on apple forum like same wifi, on Airplay on Apple TV, nothing seems to work.

I am able to use Apple TV o watch youtube videos but the Airplay icon just dont come out. Last night, when my internet is down, strangely the Airplay icon appeared and I can mirror content to my Apple TV. But today the Airplay icon wouldn't come out again! Anyone know know to solve this problem?

will i get the newer 2013 model for atv3 or the will replace with 2012 atv3 model with problem fixed? coz my previous model is from 2012 model

Just realize the replacement program, and my unit s/n is on the list... no wonder the atv always undetected when airplay. Needed to restart all the time. BTW, mine is Aussie unit, can I claim it at MacCity?

The fiancé of my wife's friend in Sydney has an ATV and they are subscribed to Netflix (he uses the ATV to watch programs like MSL, NFL, and NBA)...

Too bad we can't get Hulu or Netflix here in Malaysia without jailbreaking the ATV, otherwise I would have bought one to place in my new condo!

I can mirror xbmc, but when playing movies, the screen turns black on both device (ipad n TV). When i disconnect airplay, it will play just fine on ipad.

Lately, I've started to get interested in setting up Apple TV. Been reading through the pages in this thread although I've not completed yet. Very helpful info. Taking my time to explore in a slow and relaxed mode.

So now, I've just setup a US Apple ID account. Tested with a gift card from my sis in US. It works. Downloaded netflix and Hulu plus from AppStore. My sis has hulu plus account but I've not tried it yet. My next step would be setup the VPN and test with Hulu plus. Lastly, I would need to get the AppleTV and hdmi cable.

My sis also has ATV2 which she bought 2 years back. She used Roku instead and seldom use ATV2. So I would be getting the ATV2 if I wanted it. But I don't mind buying ATV3 for the HD stuff except I read that Apple is coming out with ATV4. So probably stick with ATV2 (not yet jb) first.

Anything I missed out? Your feedback is most appreciated. Thanks.

PS: I'm using unifi 5mbps. Speed wise seems so so only.

May I know if atv3 with xbmc can have DTS pass thru audio ?

Your iP issue. Which VPN service are u using? For Unblock-US, normally it's very easy to fix. Just go to the website n check service, if u using static ip, high chances the IP changed. Just click update and it will back to normal.

However, if i buy in malaysia and using unblock-us, can i use these service?

Noob question here. The unblock-us use VPN or DNS because the guide only change the DNS adress. I thought to enable netflix must use VPN not DNS.
