I have both atv2 and atv3. Atv2 jailbroken but atv3 can still be used with Netflix. All u need is VPN and Netflix subscription is only usd7.99 per month!

Anyway, I use tunlr VPN. It's free and Netflix works beautifully. Netflix gives you a 1 month free trial and after that it's only usd7.99 per month which is very affordable IMO.

Tunlr no longer supports Netflix. It has been known for almost a week. They still support Hulu plus, pandora and other streaming sites. If you still want to use Netflix in Malaysia, you have to subscribe to a VPN service like unlock-us, strong VPN, etc. come on guys, everything cannot be free forever,right? And nothing that is free will last forever either. Start those credit cards rolling, now!

Apple TV Support is not dropped by tunlr, only netflix support has been dropped. Hulu Plus still works on Apple TV.

hmm..that's weird. Maybe then we have to start looking into the paid VPN options now if we still want to use netflix or hulu plus here in malaysia. i heard unblock-us or strongvpn is quite good but i haven't tried it personally yet.

I too was really disheartened and since i paid for netflix, i knew i had to find something else so that my entertainment needs would not be shattered. The answer to this is proxydns.co
Tried it since yesterday and works like a charm on netflix and all other geo-blocked content as well. It's free! Change your DNS to 74.207.242.213 and voila!

no worries mate. streaming quality from netflix has improved tremendously recently. They did some upgrade to their systems about 10 days ago. at home i use unifi 5mbps, no problem, no buffering. at my office i use 20mbps unfi, also no problem. good quality.

Bro, everything cannot be free right? Netflix is a subscription based streaming service. U want to enjoy the services, you have to pay. Only US7.99 per month for unlimited streaming.

apple tv 2 is the older version, the newer version is apple tv3. the ones sold in all apple stores everywhere is only apple tv 3. there is no more apple tv 2 for sale, unless from second hand vendors. both looks the same, but apple tv 3 is full hd 1080p. not much difference other than that.

still working for me bro, both on my ipad and apple tv. maybe you have to restart your apple tv.

don't change the dns in your router, it is never advisable to do that. change the dns in your device, i.e. apple tv, ipad, iphone, pc, etc.
free dns will definitely throttle your usual browsing speed.

It's very easy mate. Since u already have a Netflix subscription and a VPN, just login to Netflix on your atv3 and use your bolehvpn DNS address. You can change your dns address in Apple TV network settings. Switch to manual dns and key in your VPN dns. Also, remember to change your tunes store setting to United States, otherwise Netflix will not be activated.

Change the iTunes Store to United States and you will have Netflix.

You don't need to jailbreak to watch Netflix on Apple TV. You just need a Netflix subscription, at least 5MB broadband connection and a VPN. and yes, I'm using a Malaysian American Express card for Netflix subscription. To enable Netflix, you need to set iTunes Store to United States on Apple TV. Works on ATV2 and 3.

Yep, most probably a JB issue. The best is don't JB your ipad.

What DNS are you using on your Apple TV? Use 8.8.8.8 or 8.8.4.4 which is google DNS. That might solve your problem. You can change your DNS in your Apple TV network settings. Probably the movie servers are not compatible with maxis DNS.
