what would anyone wanna do that? the trial is only 1 week. after that if u wanna continue u will still have to pay... so might as well just register with it...

unblock us vs tunlr = paid vs free...hope paid will win

Been using both.
unblock for 1 week trial. Whenever I start click on play movie, it will buffer for around 2-5secs.

As for the free one, tunlr, it'll buffer around 10secs then only start playing the movie.

So far no buffering while watching movies.

Would appreciate if you could PM on how to watch as well. Am headed to Perth next month and plan to get one, even if JB isn't available yet.

why get it in Perth when you can get it cheaper locally?

I used Tunlr and my (local) StanChart Visa and local penang postcode to register netflix and it worked.. watched movies and mini series last night till my eyes popped

maybe it's maybank?? hmmm.. l;et me try again... registering using itune id in the ATV3, wont accept my itune malaysia account..

1. Setup a US itunes account by following the link http://www.cultofmac.com/43040/get-a-u-s-i...e-world-how-to/ and use a new or alternative email address thats not associated with your Malaysian iTunes ID. Best is to setup a new email. Make sure you lookup a valid US zipcode and address beforehand. You can use Fake Name Generator which will give you an address with a valid zipcode.
2. Go to tunlr or your preferred service and setup the vpn etc. Tunlr used in this example since I use that service.
3. Logout from your existing malaysian itunes store account if not yet logged out and use the US itunes account. Key in the DNS numbers from step 2 above you should be able to see the Netflix on your device (appletv or ipad)
4. Download and register an account on Netflix. You will need a credit card for Netflix since only 1st month is free but they will not charge until end of trial period. I used a Maybank CC and it was ok.
5. Login to netflix and enjoy

Might be a different way of doing it but this worked for me

Yea, I managed to watch movies with Netflix with my ATV3, but me too is getting non HD quality. I'm already on Unifi VP5 package.

Is there any setting to do so that I can get the HD quality? Btw, I manage to view the iTune provided trailers in HD.

How much does a reseller sells it for here? Is there still warranty if bought from non-Apple reseller?

On the ATV3 under Settings just do the "Test Network" thingy coz thats where it asks you what speeds you usually get with you connection. Apart from that I got no idea coz my fixed line is Streamyx 1mbps (thats the best TM can provide here) but i also use Celcom Broadband 3.6mbps. Its not that stable and i seldom get the higher speeds but with FUP of 6GB I'm not too worried on getting HD quality since that will suck up my quota very-very fast.

Apple online store, machines, mac city etc. are all selling the ATV3 for RM 349.00 with international warranty. You get it with a 3 pin plug and not an adapter, which sometime you might get if you buy it from non-Apple reseller since they might have sourced it from overseas.
