Need help, please.

I'm a new user of UMobile Mifi ZTE MF 60. Everytime when I want to get connected, I must use the USB cable and plug-in into my laptop. Is this the right way.

I was told I don't have to use the USB cable. Just power on the modem and you're connected. But when I powered on, the screen says PIN LOCK. How do I unlock the pin on the modem? I called the customer service centre, and suprisingly they don't know how to solve the problem.

Can you describe more about bypassing something? I interested to take this coz I'm using celcom skmm right now. But if you can explain the benefit combination of this modem + celcom skmm I will appreciated it. And if you know the seller of this modem please PM me the link. Thanks

I've solved the problem. I called ZTE and they're very helpful. And yes you need to disable the pin first but I don't have to use a phone. Can do it online. Thank you very much.

Modem recommendation list

MF820D = hmm.gif Lightning, but hyper hot chipset.

MF680 = If you like to mod mod this mod mod that, this is the fastest 42mbps currently.

E372 = Just plug and use and perform. Stable and speedy but still MF680 sometime will got crazy and boost.

E367 = Low cost high speed, great for SKMM/Prepaid BB users. Suitable for congested location as well.

E355 = Can be use as secondary modem. Great for traveling, nice speed considered as a MiFi.

E353 = Don't wanna mention since same price as E367

E1762 = Little brother for E367, rock like stability yet high speed as a HSDPA

Vodafone modem = Avoid them unless you wanna stuck in the firmware and many problem.

am using TL-MR3420 V1 ( flash with open wrt ) + ZTE MF680 ( tweak 27 tx value )

that speed i achieve in my old places penang road @ georgetown penang @ 4~5AM..

my new places is only 14~17Mbps normally

if lucky on 5 star IP will get up to 22Mbps notworthy.gif

for home router, tplink 3420 is good option.

for mobile router, avoid tplink 3040 V1, wait till V1.1 or newer.
